The real plot hole is in MC's head. Why did he waste so much time trying to call and text her back when he knew he was blocked? You know, because he was the one who blocked himself. Did he know that someone would check his phone at some point? That is unusually cunning and performative.

Looks like a persistence conflict unlocking a scene. Deleting the persistence file in C:/users/<username>/appdata/roaming/renpy/chasingsunsets/ and in the local save folder fixes this.

I'm not familliar with what the persistence file does so I thought it best to ask.

If things are already unlocked, those are recorded in the persistent file. So if that's deleted, those things unlocked would be locked again.

True story. Your achievements and scenes would have to be unlocked again, but your save should still work fine along with any points/decisions you've made. The only persistent data CS stores is: Achievements, Scene Gallery, Image Gallery, and your preference setting for textbox opacity.
