cant you just divide the page number by how many more messages you have per page?
then use the decimal to point out approximately where on that page the message is?
like if you have 50 messages instead of 10, divide page number by 5.
so a message on page 38[10msg] would be on a bit over half way trough page page 7[50msg].
Anyway, started my own MTL on this as well, since Shadeishere's tl is availeable for this version yet. (looking forward to it)
(for myself, as the quality will be shite).
It works, but already on the brothers personality I had to stop and correct the translation, from both google and deepl.
like, wth is a root vegetable onii-san... I corrected that to herbivore/beta in my case. Former is a derogatory term for people who are more asexual/ twinks in japanese media who contribute to japans "problematic" birth decline.
So yeah, MTL alone is def not enough, luckily context helps one to understand what its trying to tl, but that's not always the case...
Translator++ gives me the option to open the editor and check what the script does apparently, but that does take a lot of time.
