Actually i think it's a good idea to do more than 1 game at the same time
I mean, a dev can get bored if he/she focus too much on just one thing, making 2 bring more variety and the work feels fresh enough to keep going.
Another option is making a game with a lot of characters or routes, but that's even more complicated than doing 2 games xd

I never understand why h-game devs multi-task. It just puts more stress on them and slows work down for the game they initially and the other games.

Depends on how much of the development time is waiting for art assets. Siren comissions art, so if he has to wait for the artist anyway, might as well work on other projects.
But I honestly wouldnt mind if Zombie's retreat 2 was dropped if it meant more frequent updates for Sexy quest and this game. I mean, Zombie's Retreat was already a spiritual sucessor to a Zombie life. Do we really need a third game with the same artist and only small tweaks to gameplay? Even if the formula is good, ppl just get burned out. Just look at the reception to The Genesis Order.
A small update is still substantial. May not be from a consumer point of view but with 3 titles in his pipeline, I can see why.
Also, artists have very slow schedules. It is likely that the thing that took so long for this update to come out is because the artist took that long, not so much for the dev.

Because it makes it easier for them to keep making content, without burning out and just stopping.
OceansLab is in the process of making two really good games right now, those being 'Where it all began' and
Summer's Gone. Every few months, we get an update for one game, then a few months later, the other game.
House Chores seems more like a side project, considering Zombie Retreat and the Town of Passion are done, with 2 games to effectively replace them (ZR2 and Sexy Quest).

Thanks man. Say, you wouldn't know of a way to change the name on that file, would you? Saveedit can't manage it, unfortunately.
EDIT: Can do it after all, just gotta click the blue thingy to unpack file and find and edit the names and stuff manually.
