Well you need to get your pronouns and naming convention fixed preferably by a native english speaker, your characters look a bit cartoony, but I like that, hope that is what you were going for. I think it has potential, its no literary classic but looks like it could be a fun romp.....

why is it eating up so much RAM, 500-600 MB. while a similar renpy game like HS Tutor outputs a steady 340 MB?

Well MC goes to sleep and suddenly his name is Lisa. Dunno about that, also seems to really slow my pc down, but that could be just something at my end. His and her are mixed up a lot but whatcha gonna do?

My guess would be the dev being new to renp'y coding. I don't personally know too much about it but some videos on the basics mention, not in these exact words but basically, "to make sure it doesn't lag, clear the backlog of renders every now and then" from my understanding when you call a new image or video what was previously there will still be there until its cleared

i wasn't sure of the technicality behind it but i suspected it was a development overlook. welp, the game is unplayable in it's current form for this reason... at least for my low end pc

Yeah - it is behaving like it is mining for Bitcoin or something.
