"-" divide the stages. On each stage we have possible interactions. To get to the next stage player need to complete some events and maybe to do some fighting. Further stages requires harder fights or more rare ingredients(slightly more efforts), but it unlocks cooler interaction. And each stage is self sufficient - there is no need to grind or fight harder foes to remain on this stage.
