Check the candle left to the book in your bedroom. If it's burning, you can learn a new skill by studying said book.

There are a few scenes that are animated in I recall correctly. It's been awhile since I've played though, and don't remember which ones off the top of my head.

at night go to waterfall of the village there is through at fina house you can go to visit the waterfall
