again, I see your point, but you are comparing the MC to god-like beings, he was a womanizer, whoremonger, that still is a great warrior, but he is not that powerfull yet, and he shouldn't be overpowered from the beggining, there is no reason for it here, take Terminal Reach or Sorcerer for exemple that are games where in one the Mc is already overpowered and in the other gets overpowered real quick, they both have stabilished from the beggining that the MC is someone experienced in life, that is not the case here, here we are playing a maybe 20 something years old that although is accomplished in combat still isn't a master at it, although he has learned a lot about tactics he is still inexperient and he has no magic (again, yet), you are on the beggining of the heroes journey and want to have the power to face end-game bosses.
And yes those characters are important to the story, hell if I wanted I easilly could compare to real life and how you and me wouldn't be here withouth the people that passed through our lifes either, but let's not go there and focus on the game, yes if it wasn't for the god-like beings(in this dimension at least) for doing god like things the Mc couldn't have defeated certain death, he was abushed by enemies that where preparing this for years, probably since before he was born, it is only natural for him to not be able to solve things by himself, and even so he still put up a fight against the creature during his scape, and probably could have defeated it by himself if he was lucky enough(insert plot armor), and during the invasion he was prepared to fight agains the fleet and could have won but not withouth heavy losses, basically they helped him avoid a worse outcome and not simply were the only ones that could solve this.
And your point is so misguided on who rules that I can't even put it into the right words, yes on his personal life Morgan has the power of their dinamic but when the kingdom is concerned she listens to him, and even on their personal life the power dinamic is a give and take if you choose the right things, Lilith is complicated so far, is again a give and take, she helps us deal with our enemies and grants us "power" and we help he achieve her objectives and she has basically no involvement on the kingdom's management so far besides given some councel, the one that you could make your argument for is the Mc's mother, she manipulated him early on and she is the one that tends to do things behind his back, if anyone would try to rule from the shadows it is her, and even her has back out of those ways real quick once the Mc makes his feelings known.
Basically in this what I could grasp from your responses was: You want the Mc to be the strongest around cause you don't like when the woman have more power than the Mc, that is the impression you are giving me since their influence and power are well contained withing the story and your gripes seems to be "they are important to the story and for some reason I don't like it"

I initially wrote that I don’t want to argue with anyone and swear with anyone and that this is purely my opinion. And again, I later explained below why I came to such an opinion, and not to another.

And in general, I wrote a post and my opinion solely due to the fact that there is a developer in the topic, or someone close to him. And again, I did not write that I want the main character to have a superpower like Vanpunchman, or superpower or in general by some kind of God. I wrote that the developer would give him some kind of strength so that in which case the players could rein in Morgana or Lilith. and I want to apply this same power to Morgai or Lilith. I'm talking about Sauron's ring, etc. all this was in a comic, humorous form, I did not mean to give the main character the power of God.
And with regards to the content with the mother. I will not hide it, I play precisely because of this content. Especially the ending of her branch (version 1.5) hooked me very much (in the good sense of the word). I hope that it will not be such that the main character will come to her and say "this is a joke, and I hope you understand everything."
I hope that the developer will continue in the same spirit with the content with the mother. I hope the patrons liked it too, otherwise this thread will not be continued. It's a pity in this game it is my favorite. But again, this is my personal tastes.

I don't play Sandbox version, but any scenes that are there in that version I'd imagine would be pretty inconsequential to the main story (since I think VN aspects basically carries almost all of the main story).
Though I guess I could be wrong about that lol.

And it really wouldn't make sense for those sandbox scenes to exist in the VN mode (when the player isn't doing the sandbox), unless MadKing somehow finds a workaround to it.

I had to change to VN because the sandbox version suck it up all RAM from my average PC within seconds. I still like the management and strategy scenario, but my equipment is not suited for the sandbox version. Maybe after some improvements in the code will resolve this minor issue.

Plus, the VN is still a good choice for people who's don't like the grinding and sometimes, all the planning and details can be tiresome, even for the ones who likes sandbox.

Still, Vis is totally worth it in any version. Good job, Mad King!

You are comparing 3 things that have nothing in common, Shepard (if you are talking Mass Effect) was a war veteran already, they had been in the military for years and had condecorations from it, and even so people constantly butted heads with them durring the games.

The schoolboy/student thing I tend to agree with and that is why I didn't bring it up, there is a oversaturation of it and it is normally mostly to blame hormones for the characters actions(also it could be a legacy of Japanese VN's).

But we don't start as a king, we start as a prince, actually most of the game so far we have been a prince that has just addimited to themselves that they fucked up on their life to this point and is trying to change, this is literally as far away from a student or school boy as we could get with a young character.

Also, this is entertaining to me but if you wish to end the conversation all you have to do is not reply or tag me, I don't follow any of the forums here anymore for various reasons.

Seriously though, are you going to make the mod for sandbox? I thought you were doing the VN mode only?

I've most of SM's Core v6 code ported over to v1.5 (since it was already solid for my testing) and am about to start porting all of that to v1.6, I posted some teaser pics here which includes the start of the SanchoCheats screen along with other goodies (rewritten gallery, additional options, etc).

Honestly, I've seen this coming from a mile away and one day after the proofreader has sent me the last batch of reviewed scripts, I looked at this final part with the plot and I said to myself that I should remove it... but I haven't and I will tell you why.
