It's not starting from 0, the story up to v0.5 will remain canon to the game, this is just a continuation of an otherwise abandoned game by a couple of fans

Well, the MC had no backstory so far. I add a backstory.
There was no conflict other than a fight between friends so far.
I'lladd conflict (and no I don't mean conflict in what girl to chose).
The script has 24k words...
Sorry to dissapoint, this will be a story driven game.

Ok I'm fine with that, if a girl that the MC rejects ends up in another relationship I have no problem, as long as the girl (who is with you) doesn't cheat on you and you don't have to see the girl you rejected fuck with another, nothing happens.

You should have change the version to 0.51 or 0.6 so people can easily understand that the story is continuation.
I love the first game so I am just glad that I can continue the story.

I think you do need to to play the previous game if you never played it. And this release is almost all just a recap... It didnt feel like an update
From what you said this game looks good, but... dont know how to say it, you can tell the "change of hands", the "flow" of the game feel diferent I suppose? Really hope you can merge the rhythm of the previous game to yours.

Just because I like to understand what I'm getting into, if you don't mind sharing, ERA51. Who/what comprised the old team, and what was your contribution? As in... Writer, artist, coder, etc., etc.

Who from that team is working on this project? Will Underground Studio continue? Or has that completely dissolved?

From what I was able to pick up the writer from Underground Studios quit. Were they the original dev? Were you doing all the renders? I did enjoy the 0.5 version, renders and writing, so as I said, I'm just trying to understand what will be here with this group.

I feel the same way you do, I really fucking like it how the previous team made the game, all the dynamics about social groups in college, the way the narrative was going, the MC personality that was smart and sly(a little cheeky too) and now he is way more "dumb", my dude is having an inner monologue about what he thinks about the love interests(I know that this is to "recap" what happened in the previous update but still dumb and way immersive breaking and a break of his old personality) he sounds like just a generic MC by MrDots.

All the renders are way grainy, and the overall quality of the game had a huge drop(yeah I know that this is normal bc it's not the same team anymore but still).

All the appeal that the old game had because of the "unique" narrative and character development it's gone, it totally feels like a generic novel that we often see here, shame though, I really, really liked this VN

Then again, I'm not trash-talking the new dev or saying that he "doesn't" know how to make a VN, it's just that his narrative and development are not the same styles as the old writer, hence the feeling that now is a completely different VN.

They continued the game added some content, as well as a little recap of what has happened up to version 0.5

They picked up where the original story stopped. They haven't remade anything as of now I don't think they plan to. I think they are just going to move ahead with the development and continue the story.

Also sux there's no option to target Vanessa with a Javelin.

Or even to just not like her. Very disappointed in the new writing and direction. Of course, I was also very disappointed in the options (or lack of such) in 0.5. Guess this game just isn't going to go in a direction I want to travel. Good luck dev, I'm out.
