It's only been 6 weeks since the last release, so I think it's too early to say that for sure.

It is not, from what I know that the Dev is still working on it. As well as, knows the direction where they want the game to go and has it all set out. And as this poster said;
It takes a lot of time to code, pose, render and make sure everything is ready for the updates. Give it time and when we see a very long space between updates then make your judgement call on that.
EDIT; I am not calling you out CoookieMonster, I was using your post as a means to reinforce it. Did not want you to think that the last line was directed to you and not the first quoted person.

The creator originally promise updates every two weeks. He hasn't even updated his patreon at all for almost a month. I like this game and I'd love for it to continue. It's good for a laugh. Hopefully, we get more info about it soon. When an active creator goes silent for a long time, I worry.
In the perfect world, he'd drop a huge update tomorrow and we'd all be happy! Either way, I really hope it continues.

I hope so too, but a very large number of developers also make deadlines and try to stick to them and then fail to do so. I'm not saying there's no need to be concerned, but let's give it a bit more time to see.

Might I suggest joining their Discord. That is where I heard from the Dev themselves, that they are in it for the long haul and have the end written already. I also read (Just now because they had a ton of welcome spams) that the Dev has been very ill. That is why they have not been able to work on the game as of right now.

This is why creators while I can understand why they do this still shouldn't do so. especially with IRL happening that can throw your plans upside down.

Add? It kind of is already a harem game. None of the potential LIs have gone far enough for an intimate relationship yet, but even when they do it's likely they'll have no problem with each other. That could change, but from what I've seen to this point, this looks like the MC will be able to be with at least several if not all of the LIs eventually. Given that there's no actual relationship right now beyond being just family, though, the harem tag isn't on this game yet.
Any news to this funny game? It's unfortunately quite some time now since the last update. Hope it's not abandoned or worse the dev have some RL troubles/issues.

Well they posted a status update on May 19th on Patreon. Plus a couple pics on Twitter on the 26th and 28th.
