Exactly so. The developer has hinted in at least two of his Patreon posts that things will be getting more intense in the next release. Not surprising since things got fairly hot in this last one, if you made the right choices.
I'm assuming that the MC will have an orgasm in some kind of sex scene (handjob, blowjob, footjob, titjob, grinding or penetration) with at least one of the two main girls. Any guesses as to which one(s)? And what kind(s) of sex?

Another question I have is whether Belle will be allowed to leave the MC's apartment, where she was at the end of this release. At the end of the previous release Elena was in the MC's apartment and he had her stay with him for the morning. Belle DID offer to return the favor. Maybe he'll change his mind and take her up on it.

This developer uses a technique whereby multiple images are strung together to form an animated scene. He can use 20 or more images in one 'animation' [which is certainly a lot better than those developers who use TWO].
The developer has also been experimenting with a more cinematic technique, but hasn't gotten it to work yet to his satisfaction.
However, there haven't been that many scenes in this game yet that require animation of any kind. We expect [hope] that to change drastically with the upcoming release, though.

Am I misremembering or were the Haley renders actually better..? Maybe I've been spoiled, but these seem..... bad? Everyone looks the same, bland. Clearly I can't do better, but Viit can do better!

I don't know about the renders, but if you played Haley as it was released, the quality control was always the worst part of the game. They may have cleaned things up afterward, but I know for a fact that most things weren't corrected up through the release of the Epilogues. I know because I would compare the old texts with each new release.
This game is no different. To me, it's like when a beautiful date has spinach stuck in her teeth. I wish they would bring someone onboard dedicated to beta testing, who might find and correct a lot of those errors. But that might delay their releases, and their release dates seem sacrosanct, which is normally a good thing, but not when it affects quality.
I believe viitgames is a 2-person team: viit and ptolemy. Neither one is a coding genius, and I don't believe that either is a native-English speaker. Someone correct me if I'm wrong about that.

Vitt (and pretty much every dev PTOLEMY works with) have always struggled with dark renders. They're always too dark, sometimes to the point where you can't see anything. Other than that, I'd say their renders are in the "good" category. Nothing fancy, but they aren't a mess. They tend to keep things simple. But I'd say their animations are janky too, they always lag for me so I just skip them.
It's also apparent that they don't do any testing before releasing an update. By either themselves or BETA testers. It's why so many small errors are always in the game, whether it's bad spelling or bugs. Saves broke in Haley's Story all the time.
Both of these things are due to wanting to get the updates out monthly. They cut corners. Which to me, in this case, is a bad thing.

, their Patron total has went down by 60% since the end of HS. This feels like a 1st game, whereas HS felt like a much more refined game. Despite the previous stuff I mention applying to it too. The story was a lot better.

It's here. Focused on Elena, this update.
Our first official "hot" scene. Still haven't been able to make the movies work. I don't know the colors just change slightly no matter what encoder we use. So, we'll have to keep working on that. These animations are done the same way we did them in Haley. But we did our best to remove the pause that usually occurs at the start of the animations. It should be ok now, on any decent system.
One more thing before I go. Our proofreader, Doug, had to go into surgery last week So any happy vibes you might send his way, I'm sure would be appreciated.
