Since I love sandbox, I usually disagree woth most comments who critize that playstyle. However, here it´s clearly bad implemented: same interactions all over again, lack of any kind of hint, no way to track your progress, etc.
Fixing those things would be great, but since most people hate sandbox, the developer will probably go back to the previous VN playstyle. That´s a pity for me, but I guess it´s what most people want
Good news for you:
The dev is really stubborn and is probably ignoring all of the feedback for changing it to a VN anyway and still continues the sandbox.

Bad news for you:
The dev is really stubborn and is probably ignoring the feedback of the remaining supporters either and continues the crappy implementation of the sandbox, too. He already did two posts "how to play", a youtube vid showing how to play, a walkthrough, added game saves. And he still did not recognize why that is actually all needed that someone can even play the game...

I can't decide:
Choosing some complex sandbox "scene selection" to watch 3D toons in dream scenes.
Going to a more simple sandbox "scene selection" site to watch real females.

Any advice?

The only good thing about this EX version so far is that it tells me Eleanor died at the end of the previous version. I disliked that bitch and did not like the fact MC and daughter were mega warming up to her again.

As for this version, so much to complain about. The rollback doesn't work, skip only works half the time, the sandbox is completely unnecessary and unwieldy, and the whole reality shifting is somewhat confusing af. I must have had the same lewd dream like 10 times. And it's a super pain to fast forward time of day, do i really have to go all the way downtown or seek out tiffany just to get to night time? I don't know, i liked the Vn as it was before, it was a slow burn but pretty straight forward and interesting (except for my inability to get MC to tell Eleanor to fuck off). This new and not improved version, i'll maybe check it out in a year and half again and see if it's actually better.

I love this game (good storyline buildup) It had so much potential until Sandbox update happen. It was really painstakingly difficult and very confusing to navigate.

The constant grinding is what kept me away from sandbox type of game.
(How i just wish and begged for the Dev to refer the game back to VN instead.)

When you see a VN with potential switch to the kinda balls up it typically means the dev has lost all interest in posting any meaningful updates. Hide behind unnecessary and pointless grinding, navigation and annoying immersion breaking intermittences hoping the player wont realize how little effort was put into plot and character development. I not typically a fan of sandbox because the games where is is well implemented and doesn't needlessly break immersion into a story are few and far between

I really do hope dev takes into consideration the opinions expressed without getting too defensive and salty, can be hard too hear people's view of your work but it can also help you improve...And I mean the opinions people are expressing shouldve been expected when after years of playing and enjoying the VN you sunddenly switch up to sandbox (imho VN and sandbox should be separated like rpgms and KNs are)

Oh, come on, it's porn. If you had a porn scene that ended with a swirly fade out to a sleeping guy or girl who stirs and says "It was all a dream", it was still porn.
Sure, but it's also, ostensibly, an interactive story. Again, if it was only supposed to be porn, and the scenes were all that mattered, the dev could churn out uncaptioned renders and people would be happy. And there are people who do that, as a matter of fact. But if you're coming to something that advertises itself as a slow-burn game about a single father and his daughter starting a new life, you want something more than just the scenes. So a dream scene that gives you some sex renders and nothing else, without the story, doesn't satisfy, and leaves a lot of people feeling like it's essentially a waste of time.

Maybe, but isn't this just a tiny but vocal minority?
I mean, it's hard to find a good middle ground, but if the developer went ahead and put a daughter-father blowjob in the first release, he'd satisfy 5% of people following the game and disappointed 95%. The 5% would be satisfied with yet another completed game, the 95% would walk away from the game being not believable.

I have no idea what the actual numbers are. But, if only a minority of people were actually interested in anything besides the scenes, why would the rest of them even come to a thread that promises to focus on a gradually developing relationship? Like I said, there's folks out there who are doing pure renders and other things that don't involve a long buildup before the action. Why would someone who's satisfied with instant gratification skip over it and come to a game that announces up front that it won't deliver that?

Hmmm so reviews still sound negative, but just going to ask if the free roam got cleaned up or is it still in a bad way... Not trying to troll just wondering if it is better then the first release on here...

It's still just as bad, the grind makes no sense (gotta click through maze of a house to go stare at a wall downtown to make time pass in order to sleep), tough to navigate, no payoff (very sparse renders of dream sequences on a 1/3 chance roll so it's tough to know if you triggered the event), the story makes less sense than the first time around because for whatever reason you visit some mystical statue to switch romance routes, and there's really no point to the sandbox- it's just a labor of clicking around to pass time instead of the 1st iteration of the game where it was a straightforward VN. Even then, the first iteration was years in the making with very little payoff for clicking through a story built out of vapid and usually nonsensical writing.

The problem is that the dev thought he was making a video game. It's not. This situation has been repeated over the last few years and in every instance its bit them in the ass. When you have a fantastic Visual Novel and because of its popularity get grandiose ideas that you are somehow a AAA gaming studio about to make a release. I've never seen someone work so hard at turning a diamond back into a lump of coal in my life.

After a year I though I can comeback and look how things are and hope DEV changed couple of things but oh god... This is straight up worst sandbox gameplay I have ever seen in my life... Time to abandon this game completely and move on...
