I see there is a whole discussion about the music from the previous version.
From what i understand it was steam forcing that desission on Drifty, they took down his game from their shop library after some artists filed a copyright complain, those who had the game went nuts fearing they wouldnt be able to get episode 8, Drifty propably went nuts becouse steam was some sort of income for LoF, aside from his Patreon's offcourse.

im not sure wich artists wer behind this, or if this was steam itself, but apparantly that was the reason some of the songs had to be taken out before steam alowed it back, offcourse it might be that all the artists complained, so then yeah all da songs had to be replaced.
But what im trying to say is that the music issue is none of Drifty's choise, im sure he would have loved to continu his work with the music as it was, it was mostly steam forcing him to take out da music.

now i am glad that i didnt deleted my folder with 0.7.0 content, and went to create a whole new folder for the 1.0 version of it.
yeah the modded version will not work with the unmodded version right now, i mean savegame wise, but im hoping that with the mod comming out for the new version that it continu's to work again or if not then i'd be happy to play the old version till chapter 7 and version 1.0 alongside so i still get to hear the old tunes with the new version.

untill then im glad that Sancho1969 took the chance to revive some of the old songs and hopefully incites more programmers to continu doing that as well so we get to play the new version with the old music, untill then i hope everyone that plays this game hasnt deleted the older version, i got a whole folder for it, but im afraid to upload it here in case some of those artists also look here and bill me for sharing it but if someone else has no problem with that feel free to contact me and ill send the folder over to him/her/them/it (yeah i know, but seeing everyone can identify themselfs as they want i didnt want to exclude anyone, seeing there might be a person identifying itself as a candy or truck out there) :D

once we get the mod for the new version avaible ill update you guys about if old modded saves work with the new modded saves, that way yall can use 0.7.0 to play to chapter 7, and use da new version to play chapter 8, that way only 1 chapter has only the new music/no music (for those that dont want music during sex scene's, yeah i readed those comments as well :D)

I'll save you the trouble. Most saves work. That being said there are a few that just won't be but it's not the majority. The majority have loaded on my end (of course I did the RPA music file move to eliminate the music exception errors on save file load). That's why I felt confident to make the post regarding the trick. It also allowed me to come to grips regarding the possible task of converting the VN's previous chapter music.

I work for a retail chain. When a store is being remodeled, they put black paper on the window with signs outside almost as tall as a person, saying the store is closed for remodel. You would not believe how many people walk into the store in an hour asking if we are open, let alone how many people do it for the entire day.

So no your post is nowhere large enough.
they propably think they're the ones responsible to keep the presure on only to see that it actualy takes longer that way.
i once saw a clip on tiktok with a line in front of a store waiting it to be opened, a dude walked past them and they get mad, shoving him away, he tries several times and then gives up saying, okey then i wont open the store today at all, good luck waiting another day..that took em by surprice, and i laughed my arse off.

Hopefully Sancho1969 can do something similar. secretly giving the no complainers the new version, and saying to all the stoppers that they have to wait a full day or week before he releases the public version. that will shut them up :p
now that i think about it, seeing he likes shenanigans, he might just do that to piss them off, by putting a statement that everytime someone asks *is it updated yet?* the public release delayed by a day :p.

peace out :p

To be very clear: out of ~16 pages of previous saves I had ~6 that simply won't load AFTER making the audio file move described in detail here. You don't HAVE to do the audio file move (you can simply press "Ignore" on the exception to bypass it) as the exceptions it causes are not program fatal... but it will make things a bit smoother.

With all that said I can't fix all the issues the move made to R8 has caused. It is what it is so your mileage may vary. I'll do my best for you and for Drifty.

Honestly Sancho is a god among men,Best adult mod maker ever...
Haha, yeah i said that earlyer as well, unfortionaly i also said that there are a bunch of peaps that think differently.
I thought i scared Sancho1969 by remarking some sort of repeated request over at the BaD side of it, heck even i asked the question, but he calmly awnsered me by saying why he didnt wanted to do so till this point, and i understood completely. so yeah he is da best dmn modmaker on this planet, thank you for saying that, all sancho gets these days is *is it updated yet?* *please add money cheat* and other repeated questions, it gladdens me that some also take da time to praise his work, for he propably could use them alot more then the repeated questions :D

you guys listen to the music in porn games?
well it highly depends on the game dont you think? And i wouldnt call Leap of Faith a porn game... far from it, lets face it, there arent exactly many lewd scenes in this game. If youre searching for porn, you would considre different games than LoF.

LoF is more like a story driven soap opera with lewd scenes i would say... and drifty made some scenes matchig to the music. Which i enjoyed very much... and is now ruined.

There are a few games on F95 with focus on different things than just the lewd scenes... and if a DEV can manage to add music to the game that is a huge plus to its, in makes the game so much better.

Of course there are "porn games" out there focusing more on the lewd side... i dont enjoy them very much, they get boring very fast, and yeah most of the time i dont play them with music... in fact, most games on F95 dont have good music only a few... but those are mostly the best games overall, LoF is one of them...

If you look on the "latest updates" site, and sort it to see the best games, you see pretty much that most of the "top game" have indeed good music too.

Good sound and music makes a AVN better as a whole i think... bad music is ruining many things... but well, you can turn bad music off, but once i play a game and like the music and made a "connection" between a scene and the music, i dont want to experience it any other way... just like movies...

For example, what would star wars be without its iconic themes? Can you imagine watching star wars without music? get out of here ^^

and yeah, iam one of the guys to play AVNs for the story, characters, relationships, emotions and such... i enjoy the lewd scenes too, and they should be well made (otherwise they are ridiculous) but if a game only has lewd scenes to present... well, they get boring and i rather watch real porn instead... dont know... i kinda need to immerse? And good music fitting the scene helps a lot with it. And LoF was a perfect example for that... until now.

Still hammering out gallery code (fixing the OEM code as I go). I'm going to grab some late dinner (it's after midnight here) then get back to it. Bottom 2 rows is the Ch8 so far, bulletproofed. Reckon I have the Holly scenes left:

To be fair there's ~30 lewd scenes... which is far more than any soap opera I've ever heard of :ROFLMAO:.

Is today a realistic ETA or not, it seems like a lot of work. Thanks for sharing progress updates btw!

May I ask if there is an ETA of the walkthrough mod?
Sancho1969 doesn't really do ETA's. It's done when it's done.
Sancho cares more about quality over quantity when it comes to mod releases.
I've rarely seen Sancho give an actual ETA unless he's at the stage of testing the mod, and even then it's an "in case there are no issues" type of ETA.
