That is historically accurate.
The Christians chose to celebrate it then, so that they would not stand out, because the other people were celebrating their holiday then.
If they were not celebrating, then everyone would know that they were Christians.

Last time I saw one of those might have been close to 20 years ago - I stopped in one on my way to visit friends in the hospital that had just had their second child - the young daughter was craving french fries, mom was craving a hamburger and dad wasn't allowed to leave, upon pains of death. :ROFLMAO:
