Is a laptop an absolute must? The issue is that laptop GPUs are always goings to have worse performance due to size and heat constraints. Thus limiting your rendering speed. The only way I'd say a laptop would be okay with rendering is if you're using an eGPU. Which are expensive, and still take nearly 25% of performance away. As for HDD/SSD, neither is going to change the speed much. Daz doesn't seem to really care at all about one or the other (from the testing I've seen, there's seconds of difference between them), though YMMV.Hello guys,
I want to buy a new laptop and I am working with DAZ. Is it possible help me with question, what I need, like a graphic card and memory (HDD, SSD) for good and easy rendering? Thank you for your advice.

Get a desktop with 32 GB of RAM and a RTX 3060 with 12 GB of RAM. In terms of price performance ratio it's the best card right now I think. It's like 400 dollars right now I think. The speediest card won't help if it doesn't have enough RAM to fit the scene in it, so an 8GB card won't do you much good (Windows also uses like 2 GB unless you use a CPU with integrated graphics and connect your monitor to it) and assets keep increasing in size. Back in the day you could get a decent looking model for Victoria 4 in about 50 MB and now a human character takes up hundreds of MB. Add to that hair, suits and the environment and you can see how easy it is to run out of video memory. As for the CPU an i5 is enough.Hello guys,

I'm using Blender Eevee with imported DAZ characters as well, and looked into it a bit when gen 9 was released:Hi,
Beyond rendering purposes, is there a point to get Genesis 9? I will use characters in real time (which mean a blender conversion and loss of Iray), so does topology make a big difference? Does the rig is more functionnal? Those kind of good points.
for your 2nd question, have you tried to apply a smoothing modifier yet? and adjusting that value? you can turn it off again if the model does not require such akward bends.2 questions, How do I combine 2 geo shells?? I have a pussy gen and fender bender and oil gen. How do I combine pussy and fender bander??
Second, how do I fix the those folding around the ass with my thiccer characters View attachment 3084475 View attachment 3084479 View attachment 3084481
To combine them you need to run shell fixv2 script. Add the gens of your choice, add fender bender, and then run your shell script on the gens geoshell. After that add the oil geoshell. It should work after that.2 questions, How do I combine 2 geo shells?? I have a pussy gen and fender bender and oil gen. How do I combine pussy and fender bander??

The normal/easy answer here would be to play around with the JCMs, but don't think it'd do much for figures that exaggerated. As for bends, you have three options. The first one would be to use blender and sculpt it until it looks right, the second would be to use bend control should have some sliders to help fix it and the last would be to tone down the morphs you are using a

There's a lot more going on here than just render settings. Lighting, the types of lighting being used, reflections, environments, the hardware you're rendering with, the time needed to render, and so forth. It could be whatever you're using in this render, but it looks like there's something glossy (like a piece of glass) with a reflection right in front of her.Would someone be willing to share their render settings and/or some tips for less grainy renders? I want to try to make a 3D game in the future and I see so many high quality renders w/ sharp details etc. that are shared here, so I figured I should ask for help. Also links to any helpful tutorials are welcome, Thanks.
Lighting can make a large difference, but settings wise I would recommend upping the max samples by quite a bit. 500 Is pretty low in my opinion.Hello guys.
I just started using Daz 3D and tried rendering a few images, but all of them were really grainy. I tried experimenting with lights, scenes and tone mapping but nothing seemed to help. Recently I tried different render settings based on tutorials I saw, however the results were basically identical and both of them took about 5 minutes to render.
Here are the 1. render settings I tried + the result

... and here are the 2. settings + the almost identical result

As you can see it doesn't look great and I'm not sure what else I should try.

Oh, wow. Yeah, completely missed that part. 1080 should at least be 1500, probably closer to 2500-ish for your more typical high-quality render + environment.Lighting can make a large difference, but settings wise I would recommend upping the max samples by quite a bit. 500 Is pretty low in my opinion.
Thank you for the reply,Have you tried watching any tutorials on lighting, posing, environments, etc.? Before worrying about render settings, learn how to do some basic lighting as that'll significantly help the grain. Grain can also be pretty hardware dependent, but it's hard to say without seeing your system specs.
But I'm also running two 4090s, so ymmv.
