Edited to add after version v0221:
I've changed my rating to one star due to several reasons.
Nothing I address as a problem in my review has changed, instead the dev seems to double down on the ridiculous approach that the MC is a babe magnet, just because, insists on this horrible "business simulation," and the outrageous ridiculous plot.
Nothing in this game is anything but a teenage power fantasy, and we're talking 13-14 years old here, not 15-16.
The only thing where the dev actually listened to any input was when people were whining about changes which would actually influence whom you can romance. BECAUSE OF A CERTAIN KIND OF "FAN" who can't accept that not every game is a harem game where you can get every single girl in it at the same time.
Of all the things wrong with this game, of all that could have been re-worked or changed, changes which ACTUALLY MATTER were removed.
Mind you, not that the diverging paths, as they were, were done or motivated well, but it was at least one substantial choice you could have done.
Okay, I was really tempted to give this game 2 stars, because it has soooo many five-star reviews, which in my opinion are completely unwarranted.
But let me start with the positive things. Many of the girls are gorgeous, though I don't think there is one we haven't already seen in other games.
The renders are fine, the characters, while not original, are okay.
By all means, this isn't a horrible game, which is why I decided not to give it just two stars, it would be unfair.
However, the game has lots of issues.
As others have pointed out, the sex scenes are short, the writing is really uninspired, much too crude for the kind of game this one aspires to be, there aren't many pictures either.
The dialogue is not only very stilted and corny at times, it is also so riddled with errors that it is an utter chore to read.
And it's not just the simple spelling errors (though there are a lot of them)
It is as if someone who doesn't speak English ran the English version through auto-correction, without checking if it made any sense.
"Night to Queen's Bishop three."
How the fuck do you go and make an error as stupid as mixing up Knight and Night, in a phrase that is so essential to your game?
It's way, way too amateurish. Seriously, it drove me crazy every time I read it or NQB3.
And you went through 4 versions without noticing it, going by the 0.0.4?
If you offer love points, the girls should at least act as if they have feelings and are not just horny.
Then we have the issue THAT EVERY WOMAN HE MEETS IS INSTANTLY ATTRACTED TO HIM. Without flirting, before he even does anything?
Why? How? He isn't that great looking, does he just ooze out pheromones that makes girls wet?
This is actually just one of many similar problems, which are all related to the concept of suspension of disbelief.
You all know how we are willing to accept stuff in films and games, stuff which, looking at it logically, doesn't make much sense or seems at least very implausible, but for the sake of being entertained, we are willing to believe what we see. Sort of a deal, as long as you keep me entertained, I will accept you at face value.
The problem is, we are only able to do that up to a certain point, and no matter how open we are, it mostly depends on how far the game is taking us.
This game is a great example, because while playing it at one point, I just couldn't take it anymore and started to begin writing down the things I just couldn't accept any more, because the game had already managed to kill my suspension of disbelief.
Here is an excerpt, by no means everything I noticed or wrote down (behind spoilers so the wall of text doesn't get even longer):
That's about it, this isn't a bad game, I could have fun playing it, if the text would be corrected, edited perhaps and if the writer would give a little more time for things to develop, so that what happens doesn't all seem so forced and unbelievable.
You could have easily made this more plausible, not by rendering more, but by simply stretching the timeline, adding a bit more text here and there, showing how feelings and lust slowly develop. In an at least semi-believable way, not completely ridiculous as it has.
Edited and updated review:
I'll make this short, nothing has really changed, the dev is of the sort who can't accept criticism and becomes defensive, therefore nothing really gets any better in this one, so while 3 stars were fine, when this was a new game and developer with potential, they aren't for a game at this stage.
