Can someone help? Im using winlator, already tried the LC_ALL - ja_JP.UTF-8 in environment variables, already did the changing fonts, but these stuff still shows, im supposed to see images here right?

Well to give you an answer, the old style one has f4 cycle but it ain't exactly fullscreen while the new one does fullscreen with f4.
Try windowwatcher.exe (google) or borderlessgaming.exe (google) for fullscreen.

Nah my man, there's a way easier method. Just change "Windowmodeflag=1" to =0 in the config file called "game" and enjoy fullscreen.

I managed to fix it by removing special characters on the path to the game. In my case it was removing two "é" on a parent folder. I'm not sure of the characters you can or can't use tho. Try to put your game closer to the root of your drive if you can't find what's the problem, it migh help.

I played both, and I think the remake is a full upgrade in every way. Feels more polished and the art is much improved

Run in Japanese Locale, that will fix the errors. All the pictures are named with Japanese names and if you're not running in that locale the game cannot find the filenames

How do you do that?

either change your PC system locale to Japanese or better download/install Locale Emulator then right-click on the game.exe and click "run in japanese"

Would love to know too as I would want to make the video version the author made but in English but can't figure it out. I wonder if the author just sat there for 9 hours pressing enter very consistently lol. It's possible he just made a custom version of the game for it, it also has more transparent text boxes.
EDIT: Actually, transparency was changed by the translators.
