Sometimes, what "we" want is not "his" priority. Either he will sort it out or leave us all hanging. Either way, he made a good game.
But, TBH, the game reached its zenith on the Darrel route, except for making Nat prego, which was the inevitable outcome after they stopped using protection.
So asking for a one sentence post is too much and not one's priority when relations have been established? Especialy if those said relations contain pecuniary aspects?

I do think that not offering five minutes of your life in such an instance is disrespectful. I would offer that time to a complete stranger, let alone to people that I had a friendship or a business relationship with.

Devs don't owe players anything (I've seen this nonsense written plenty of times on this site) even a text update, only after they've paused the payments. Any other attitude is a scammer's one in my book. Exactly like in the real life.

I am good now because the payments have been suspended, which was essential in such a stance.

Even though I consider this game to be the best on this site and King B's attitude up until this point was outstanding, both in terms of communication and product delivery, it doesn't mean that my judgement gets selective all of a sudden.

The reason for which I won't be getting back to being a patreon, even if he resumes his great work, has to do with his lack of communication. It is precisely because he doesn't owe us anything that he could have easily written something after pausing the payments: "Hi, guys! Unfortunately, I lack inspiration/tragedy struck my family. You've been great! I don't know if I'll ever get back". And that's it. All you have to do. The fact that you let people guessing and create scenarios like "he's lost a limb", "his mother has gotten ill", "he's been taken to war", is not a great attitude. There are people that are genuinely concerned for dev's safety.

My guess is that he really lost a big chunk of his work and the will to continue along with it, but he feels like the truth would upset people. And he hates bringing such bad news because people wouldn't love him anymore. In other words, he's acting childish.

Let's say you are running a widget store. You sell a lot of widgets and many more widgets get boosted. Then one day you get tired of selling widgets, and you hang a closed sign on the door. Are the customers going to your store and banging on the door demanding you make them a new widget? I think not, they would say to themselves that they really liked your widgets and lament the fact they are not available anymore. So later on, they wander into another store that sells gadgets...
The truth is he doesn't owe anything to us. But I hope he's well and he will be back, either to wrap this game up or make another one.

Great analogy. We're missing the "closed sign" on the door. That's exactly what I'm asking for.
Right now we're in a limbo. We don't know if the seller went to the toilet or closed the business. He has other priorities, as you put it in your previous post.
He owes us the closed sign. If we see it, we'll know he is OK, just out of business. You assumed the closed sign just because you haven't seen the seller in a long time but he never put it there in the first place.

LE: and to continue within the same analogy, imagine in some instances the lack of the closed sign but a functional red blinking slot that writes: "please insert tips here".

In fact he did put the "Closed" sign in the window, he suspended payments to his Patreon acct, no? JSYK I supported him for a year, but I stopped slightly before this all went down.

On the one hand, I understand that the game developer has his own life, his own problems that need to be solved. But on the other hand, when you set out to create a game and receive financial support from people, it's almost like making a promise. And for this reason, it is very unpleasant for us, the players, when a developer abandons his game.
I really hope that in this case the game will not be abandoned and will return to continuing work on its creation.

The payment suspension means that he removed the tip box.

The closed sign in a form of communication with your public, even if only a generic one. The seller has to buy the sign or write it himself and place it where everybody can see it. This way people wont't gather at his shop's doorsteps and make assumptions: "He went to buy food for his cats and he'll be back". "Bet he has a form of food poisoning, but he'll get back in a couple of weeks".

That sign is 100% the equivalent of a one line sentence written by the dev on his Patreon page.

What do you want to ask? Formulate the question more precisely, please. There is a separate branch "Ntr argue" in the short guide.
Yes there is a separate thread. But from which branch do you go there? My English is not that good unfortunately(

The guide of this branch describes the choices and the first choice "Try to interrupt their conversation and send Nat away" - is the first choice in the game. Then just choose what is described in the short guide and then there will be two different path, you can play them both.
