First. Make sure you did not install the multi mod.
You mean how to advance time? use the DS mod on the MC's phone. Click on the upper right hand logo.
I'm pretty sure I saw someone post those somewhere in this thread. You should be able to search for them here.
As Dogorti said, this version is in alpha. It was leaked before it was ready for release. If you're going to play leaked alpha's, be prepared for bugs and missing things. And, for the record, it's probably best to steer clear of mods for this one, at least for now. You really don't need them anyway.
Is nothing big is broken in the alpha, normally around a week.
I suppose you mention that, because this update does not work in joiplay. but I imagine that happens because this is an alpha.
You can do it only at certain time of day at Saturday if I remember correctly. Or maybe Friday? Anyway check living room and the yard, if your timing is right, it should start. And the repeat every week at the same time.
