I waited until now, I can wait a little longer. Alpha versions are meant for testing and usually have a lot of bugs anyway.

Are you sure the dev will do a beta or even final version? Whats the usual?
Most wannabes devs here don't know how version numbers work or don't care. On top of this its mostly episodic development, which makes it anyway harder to maintain logical version info people understand.

Dev always releases bug fixes. So unless the alpha didn't have any bugs, which doesn't seem to be the case after reading this thread, he will definitely release a more stable version.

This dev is clearly one of them who does not know how to maintain logical version info with stuff like v0.08v3b

Yes in the game industry usually the beta versions are meant for testing but that is not the case here, alpha is the early version released for subs for bug testing and then the beta version is the more stable one.
Porn games have weird name versions, it's also not uncommon to have a game with a 0.9 version and the next version instead of being the 1.0, it's 0.10.
