Add 4 little cut scenes in the game. And call them chapters. Have the game load at each chapter if a player wants to - for NTR and Loyalty paths. You now made it extremely easy to see content without the gallery and to switch between paths faster at specific points of the game.

You make it sound like that would take a mere few hours to do.
I do like the chapter idea and if we were starting from scratch, that'd be a nice way to do it. But there's simply to much code that would need to be pulled apart and re-created.
unsure, but I've seen other renpy games allow you to load from specific chapters before you start a game. It offers the option to start at beginning, or chapter 1, or chapter 2 etc.
This way if a player is on the ntr path for example, they don't need to restart a whole game, and cheat menu through every scene in the game to catch up to the update if they wanted to see loyalty path stuff. They could just start a few scenes away from the last update.
I know devs are like, but just use the gallery to see the scenes... it's just that there is a group of players who want to experience scenes within the flow of the game still. Not in the gallery. But without grinding through the WHOLE game.

So I've picked up a save from someone else just to watch the completed events gallery and it still shows them as unlocked, can't unlock them unless i complete them anyway?
Gallery unlocks aren't managed by a save file but rather the persistent file.
That file contains which scenes are unlocked in the gallery.
I'd share mine but honestly, the game is one of my favorites and I'd rather people play through it rather than skipping everything to watch scenes with no context for the characters or situation.
You're cheating yourself out of some great writing.
Load up porn hub if you're not in the mood to go through it and come back to it another day.

Hey I agree with you, it is a fantastic game, I played 0.07 version a long time ago and just cant be bothered to replay the entire game (new pc) again.
man this game is such a grind .... could have been better but the grind is there as it is big game as well ....

It was updated 4 months ago and the next update will be in one or two more months, apart from the fact that the author shares the update in his subcribestar, you can find all of this on the first page

But to your point, we're almost finished with the next update. Just wrapping up the final two events before putting the build together. We will be trying out doing smaller updates with around four scenes in the following update to see how that goes.

The last big event in this update involves Cami screwing up big time and an upgrade to the weekend payment event.
If you've seen those events, than you're at the end for now.
Might be just me, But I think this is one of the better VN's out there. When I first found AFV I became a paying subscriber, updates were about once a month, then it was every two months, then 3 months. At that time it was just one dev " Will Tylor ". I canceled my subscription after the updates started taking longer and longer. Been watching the progress ever since. Now there is other ppl working on it other than just Will. And yet the updates are still getting further apart. Making roughly $3k a month from subscribers, ( was more before they were kicked from patreon ) I'd think they would try to put out updates much faster to keep ppl happy, but seems to be milking them instead. If the updates start dropping in the 1-2 month range again, I would re-subscribe and start paying again. Been 7 months and roughly $21000 ( probably more ) later and no update, something seems fishy to me. I do understand things take time, but to me, this is getting out of hand. Prove me wrong and start dropping updates again.
Three thousand a month is not enough to live on. Both of us have full time jobs that eat up most of our day.
We'd love to do this full time but at the moment we're doing this as hobbyists.
I don't think the updates were ever once a month, or even every other month.
The very early days when the updates were super short, they certainly came out faster than the bigger updates we've been doing. As time has gone on, we've been adding a lot more to each update. Scenes are bigger with far more renders in each. Way more animations then we've ever done. Along with more events packed into each update.
Will (and to a lesser extent myself) have gotten better in DAZ over the years. But as we've gotten better, creating scenes takes more time.
If you look at the quality of the first animations in the game and compare them to the ones Wills able to make now. It's rather impressive how far he's come. But it comes at the price of added time to make. Boob jiggle ain't easy.
All that said, we agree that update have taken to long to come out. This is why we've been saying here and on discord that in the update following this coming one. We're going to try out smaller updates to get them out faster.
We'll see how that works out.
