Hard to imagine how it's going to recompile everything and then reconcile that with what's on your local computer.
The only alternative afaik would be to release each chapter as a stand alone.
Or just not tell anyone I'm uploading until it's finished.
Hey, I get it. You like the game. I appreciate the fact that you're waiting for the update. And I'm doing the best I can and being honest about it.
every other renpy game i play offers updates, you just dump the files in the game folder, overwrite the old files & off you go.
