Devs just like any big company, will go as far as we allow them to go; if they get away with that they will just keep doing it and ramp it up, cause greed doesn't have limits, like the despicable pay to win games.
Just my opinion.

I would have liked to try this because of the possible cheating in the marriage, but like everyone else, not going to risk it. I wont even play "these" kind of games you have to install.

This game needs a internet connection
Technically, it doesn't NEED an internet connection - the developer simply chose to FORCE an arbitrary requirement on potential players (with no guarantees as to what nefarious purposes such a gimmick will be used/exploited for in the future).

Bad choice that'll cost him many potential players/backers in the long run.

I appreciate the OP's warning about the internet connection requirement... But alas I do not play this genre of games when they require an internet connection, no matter how innocent the developers may intend for it to be... Too much of a risk... I wouldn't give a stranger access to my system off the street, so I'm sorry I can not give this game a go... It sounded interesting... But this is an industry of primarily amateur developers and author's, so you don't really know what may be going on under the hood... Best of luck to it's development...

Wow what a start !!!:p

Yesterday I went to bed thinking about what would the reactions be to my first release.... and really I never thought that the internet connection requirement could have been the problem.

As @Zippity said I'm really innocent about that. I really thought that allowing a server side repository for the CGs and storyline could have helped the easy of consuming the game. Any way I'll change the thing to let you all play the game with a single download if this aspect is so "blocking" for all my potential players.
Incidentally this is even better for me, so I can avoid the expense of a Application Service on Azure  !

Anyway thanks to all for the time you spent commenting on my release. I really appreciated and keep all your thoughts as an indication for future releases.

I played through this. I liked the renders and the initial story. I do not like the mechanics. I could not see the hot spots. Hunting them down distracted me from the story. When there were multiple hot spots the context did not provide enough information regarding the order in which to press them. It became a save and load fiesta. I want the story to flow.

A few suggestions based on my very initial impression. Make the hot spots more visible with more context about the outcome. I like making different choices, but not randomly. If also felt like some choices were "fails". Allow rollback to avoid save/load exhaustion. Don't allow progression on text when a hot spot appears. At least I as a reader don't want a "fail" choice. Maybe an easy mode under options?

I know I missed some racy scenes. But if I don't see them, the game loses some of its appeal. Please take this with a grain of salt as I thoroughly enjoy visual novels and the game play in this adventure just might not be my thing.
Hi @Cicero72
thanks for the hints on the hotspots mechanics. I'll try to improve it (did you noticed in the settings that you can increase mouse sensitivity to hotspots in order to let them appear quicker ?).
I'll also get the suggestion for a rollback.

Hope to get you back after the next relaese.

You could have the greatest game out there, but having that simple little requirement...will drive people away. It's too much of a potential risk. I'd recommend scrapping that idea rather quick.

I do understand that some developers actually make use of the Unity Engine's Internet functionality for things like data collecting, easy of updating visuals/content, securing some sort of copyright protection for their creations, etc... Some developers don't even realize their Unity game even has the Internet functionality on... But yes, because of the inherent theme of this genre of visual novels and/or games, there is a much higher risk of mischievous activities... Hence why myself and many others tend to shy away from them... Some folks are not even aware of internet activities from some of these Unity Engine games, but in this case at least the original post was very upfront about it... Which was appreciated, otherwise my system would most likely of caught it and halted it anyway, but then I would be more upset about it...

so when you say needs an online connection that is just because the images are stored on the web or is it a browser using game I can understand the game having online images to save space since other games switched to needing to be connected to load the images such as dreaming of dana since images can make the download bloated and fall into the several gigs size category I am a little nervous about the size of the game being so small though

kinda feel sorry for the dev not realizing how much of a hard 'nope' that would be. I'll definitely give it a go once he's got the offline version ready

I'm already working on a "NO INTERNET NEEDED" version.... hope to release it very soon !

Then, I'll appreciate any comments on the game itself
I don't post a lot so was why i posted my comment about the connection, I'm also a donator to quite a few games on here so am quite glad you will produce a non internet based version as the premise of the game looks interesting to me.
