It's possible that the dev doesn't want it to be strictly a porn game. I think there's enough story put into this that he probably considers it more an Adult Visual Novel rather than just a porn game. I think the dev has been trying to focus the last several updates around pushing some story forward that's been left in the dust for a little while now too. So, with that likely taking priority, he's probably not gonna focus so hard on the sex scenes until he feels like the stuff that's lacking has been caught up.
But here's the thing: porn is intertwined with the game's identity, much like gun fights in John Wick. 4 updates without a single scene is like one hour without any fight scenes in John Wick movie, it's incredibly out of place and weird

Well, there has been lewd content and the game has certainly moved past the point where you'd have to add "filler scenes"/dreams/etc. just for the sake of it.
Then again, it's true that it's a bit unfortunate, that right now there are 3 stories which have reached a point where it's more about the actual story than about the sex. On the upside, there's still a lot to look forward to.

This is the 4th consecutive update without new scenes, did the dev forget he was making a porn game?
I think new scenes will be increasingly difficult to make, since you obviously don't want two similar scenes.
Besides, now in this game, you probably would have a day with Cait comes in to... study biology in the morning, you do the dishes with lyriel in the noon, and rae needs more light to read in the evening.....Mc is super busy right now.

In general, I try to understand games - sandbox-ish games even more so than "pure" VNs - from the view of the finished game, not in terms of individual updates. The latter can be misleading sometimes. E. g. if Yona now gets four content updates in a row that would seem strange to us who "consume" the game incrementally, but may make up for the lack of updates earlier and the discrepancies may not even be noticeable in a finished game anymore.

And as for sex, as others said, there is plenty in the game, just that we've seen it all already. But games can be ruined in my opinion by too many sex scenes without any standout content, just like in a game which had the main idea of dating your daughter at one point the whole fucking your daughter got in the way of the story finally finishing up.

There is just one thing I dislike this game, there is the romance part. Cait maybe the more vanilla but never land it. The others I understand we never see something romantic or love from the pirate and the Orc.
The rest is great, also the arc. Don't need more girls

Hi guys. I'm a newbie here and i need some advices.

I wrote a text about some characters of this remarkable game (thank you again Zanith!) and i want to post it here, but i'm not sure of something.

This is a reasoning about characters, what happens to them, what may have been happening to them and what may will happen to them. But characters are very tight connected to a storyline, which is not completed yet, and i have my doubts. Is it appropriate to publish such a thing here?

Still not very familiar with this place. There is a game review area here nearby, but it seems closed to me. Should i place my text right here? Or what else options do i have?

Are you asking for permission to discuss the game? That's kind of what this thread is for. As for the ratings, it's not locked(or shouldn't be) it's just set up pretty poorly in my opinion. To leave a review you have to click on the little stars next to the title and type it in there. That's how I've always had to do it. Keep in mind though, the reviews have to be about the actual state of the game and not theories about what may happen in the story. I also think they are supposed to be 200 characters but don't quote me on that. Quite a few of them aren't.

Yeah, I think that's a better way of putting it. It's a work in progress anyway, so I understand that something that's lacking right now could very well be fixed up in the final product. I think Yona and Lyriel are both great examples of this: When they were first introduced and their introduction was pretty much all there was, I didn't like Yona (because she was boring, not really anything there), and I hated Lyriel (she's a total bitch and I think right around the time I started playing was right before the arc that has her character development). But Lyriel is a lot better after her events where she has to learn to get along with everyone, and Yona's now starting to interest me because she's actually got content coming. So far, whether it's story or sex, Zanith's done a pretty good job of keeping good quality in my opinion, so I'm just happy to see what's going on in the updates for now.

Rae tried mind control magic on you the first day, Yona tried to kill you, Naomi would also attack you if you don't talk right.

This is sort of prison anyway, and you are kind of jailer. To make it better there is also a demon and a pirate. Lyriel reacted pretty civil given the situation and her magical ability. It is just she is a bit childish, releasing her anger on everyone in sight.

Regarding Lyriel there's a bit of a misunderstanding caused by her first appareance, when talking with the soldier she comes across as a hardcore racist bitch but later we learn she's just a confused teenager.

We do not really know how racist she is, but when talking to the soldier, she was already exiled and had to take refugee in a not so elegant inn inside a human city, and she fears someday she would be forced into prostitute for human. Obviously she won't be too happy see a human, especially when a man is trying to talk with her.....

The conversation makes it painfully obvious that the soldier was your regular nice guy, maybe he was flirting with her but he wasn't planning to rape her or sell her off to slavers, she didn't want to even talk to an inferior race and that's not how she behaves in the house so a lot of people misunderstood her teenager rebellious like attitude for deep-rooted racism.

I mean, is it even actually a misunderstanding? It's hardly a one-off for her to talk about the superiority of the "highborn" (her word for elves).

I think that's why she was sent to live with her aunt. One gets the feeling that Lyriel grew up somewhat isolated, small elven community or the like. The big problem for her is that she hasn't really had contact with the other peoples of her world. She only knows about Elven culture, and the prospect of realising how much the world she didn't know about caused her to double down on that aspect. If she can't understand it, its stupid and I would imagine that's one of the reasons why her aunt wanted her to live with her. Ignorance is dangerous, especially for a girl who is as sheltered as Lyriel is. Which is why Lyriel being trapped in the House is a good thing for her. She can learn about other cultures and get her head out of her ass in a safe environment. And when she gets back to her home, she might be in a better position to explore it properly.

My point is that during her intro Lyriel looked like a complete different character from what we see at the house, racist elf vs teenager elf.

A soldier and a elven girl alone in a dark forest. What could possibly go wrong?

Besides, even flirting is too much for lyriel, since obviously while flirting, people are not just thinking about talking and walking......
Lyriel's problem is she still could not accept being exile, she still thinks she is the princess she used to be, anything and anyone suggesting the otherwise would cause her great anger. Especially, anyone and anything suggest she would...settle for a human.
screenshot0028.png
I am not quite sure how racist she is here, whether trueborn is about race or about status. By men she could probably mean human race or commoners. There is no mention about non-trueborn elf or commoner elf, so hard to tell.

My mom used to bitch when I was a teenager that I was going to get everyone pregnant and ruin the family. Like I was just a large cock with legs. It wasn't going to happen, but her words and admonishment were in the back of my mind every time I tried to start a relationship. It colored my whole perspective on responsibility and I over corrected to the point of talking myself out of talking to girls most of the time.

Lyriel's life is supposed to be about majesty from what she's been told. But she sees humans lusting after elves and those elves -her family- accommodating them. She too has had her perception of sex warped poorly. She believes sexual gratification is something to be above or be conquered. Fortunately, she seems to be disassociating what she expects the world to be and is having her childish absolutes slowly left behind. One day she's simply going to ask to get fucked without the pretense and guilt about her own feelings and it will be a glorious day for the household (and probably Rae lol).

Was she racist? YYYYyeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh, I guess. But considering what she grew up around, I can see why she was upset. It's nice to see her change her mind because I love her "volleyball" body lol

I understand her subtleties and I'm not trying to start a witch-hunt with the race thing, I was just appreciating how the dev made her evolve in such a short time since I hated her first intro, you know like "this bitch is going to destroy the harmony" but then character growth and sexual kinks happened so I'm okay with her.

No worries, homie. While I was composing my post, I was thinking hard how to word it and hadn't realized how many other responses you got and I hope it didn't seem like I was piling on. I agree with you. there's nothing like a good redemption arc that involves some evolution. Good shit.
