Not sure if it has been reported as of yet, but when using the Update patch from 7.20.1r1 to this release, the notebook doesn't update with story guides such as "Wait for her to appear, or go to x to proceed" Nothing drastic, just a slight oversite.
I asked about this on Zanith's Patreon, and this was the reply I got:
"We are changing the way the quests are displayed. The ones that you need to wait to start will stop appearing in the quest log. I'll talk more about it in the next Dev Update."

I'm not the biggest fan of Caitlin to begin with. A while back it started that university stuff with the maze and whatever else so I just stopped playing.

I tried again with a tiny bit older save and played the new Yona content and stuff, all the while ignoring Caitilin whenever she would bother me.

Now it seems I don't have any choice? She caught me and it forced me to the university...I really can't stand that part so is there a way around it? Or do I just need to stop playing again till I just suck it up and go through all that stuff.lol

Thank you
Cheers
This game is set up so that you can't ignore characters. You pretty much have to advance them all.

Gotcha, I pretty much figured that it would be this way but wanted to ask.
No biggie, was just curious about skipping those events. Thank you
very much..especially for the quick reply.

Cheers
Have a Good One

I like Lyriel as well but this would have been a better game if it was just MC and Rae and they used the house like a Tardis - visited some of the worlds where the others lived - while working on a solution to their own problems. Other than maybe Cait (maybe) none of the others seem to have much to do with the main plot.
honestly the first four girls was the best stopping point. None of them have much to do with the main plot because there isn't really a main plot to begin with. outside of some shadowing being watching us, literally we've only been following the girl's stories, not our own. Which is why i believe the appropriate direction for the mc instad of being some passive viewer is for him to become a mage. It was his high magical power that attracted Rae into the house, made other in other worlds to believe he's a powerful mage and even started training magic with both rae and cait.

A lot of what people attribute to Rae is the main story. Her teaching the MC to etherwalk and all of that, as well as pushing out, reaching out to people, and trying to work out what's happening. Cait and Lyriel actually do help with the main story (Lyriel senses, Cait overthinks); Cait is meant to help with the whole magic/tradition issue, whereas Lyriel just seems to opportunistically (but consistently) be helpful with her senses. Naomi barely rates a mention in it (with the 'I felt it too' moment), but given even the smallest potential there, she may actually be more useful later.

As to Yona and Blair, remains to be seen if they contribute anything at all. I can see Blair's crystal-related whatever becoming more relevant to the mystery, and her limiting understanding being a factor. No idea what Yona brings to the table yet.

There used to be a story, or the start of one - when the dude in the mask pulled you to him in that dream sequence, Rae's original comment was that she didn't expect it to happen so soon. I had always thought that it tied in somehow with Rae's story and/or possibly Cait's school but nothing has happened to push that along for a long time now. I think Zanith is, at this point, trying to avoid "The End" for as long as possible.

Now before I reply to this I do want to make something clear, I p,ay a single save which reaches to about day 670, so i follow the storry then do mess around a lot with my favorite scene so i can forget some things.

A lot of what people attribute to Rae is the main story. Her teaching the MC to etherwalk and all of that, as well as pushing out, reaching out to people, and trying to work out what's happening.
Now this i did attribute to main story, but that was also early in the game when we first started out Thats because all this also attributed to them trying to get out out of the house after rae realized she wasn't purposely captured by a extremely powerful magi that she couldn't charm/seduce. Also i didn't attribute the dreams and him grabbing people to her at all, that was more main story stuff to me.

Now this is where we may disagree... Cait is suppose to help with the magic issue yet she can't do that because she herself is barely a mage. I guess she is shown at some points as someone who is suppose to be skilled or a prodigy but it doesn't really shine through half the time and it gets even worse when rae starts teaching her magic because that just shows rae can teach you as well... which she had already started doing to begin with. Then add onto the fact the house can produce things at will or instinctually by the player... really there is no reason or one I don't remember why he couldn't produce the magic books he needs to study.

As for lyr I honestly don't remember he senses be helpful outside of hearing the strings snap or that one time outside in the woods and if memory serves, the player also felt something was off/wrong then too... I think when they looked into the portal she felt like someone was looking back... but that really added nothing to the main story.

As for Naomi lets be honest here, her whole role is going to be to beat someone up which won't add much seeing how rae is also a trained warrior and lyr is a trained archer and now we got Yona....

As to Yona and Blair, remains to be seen if they contribute anything at all. I can see Blair's crystal-related whatever becoming more relevant to the mystery, and her limiting understanding being a factor. No idea what Yona brings to the table yet.
We can agree they've added nothing .

No I didn't miss, just forgot it, but the part of the mc vast potential isn't fake though because we see other characters that should be able to call it out if it wasn't even acknowledge him.

honestly I feel like he is pushing to the end faster than i'f like... we also need to take into account perception. How fast is all this actually happening? IF you're like me you have over 600 in game days because you held ontosave since you first started playing the game...years ago. Yet if youstart playing from scratch at day zero just how many day actually pass in game to get to the current end patch? Maybe 2-3 months?

In game days? I think I'm well over 200 now. Edit: And I haven't played the last 3-4 updates.

I would say more than 1 year, considering that there is an event about it

I think the main problem with Yona and Blair is that they don't fit into this game because it's a porn game. Metanarratively, this game is still about being stuck in a house with people and getting into increasingly lewder and lewder situations with them. But every interaction with Yona feels like you're taking advantage of a person who has a culturally different understanding of what you are doing with her (the whole shaman thing), paired with almost zero libido and agency. And Blair is distant and uncomfortable, caring more about scientifically understanding the House than fucking in it. And this is not a taste thing. Pirate girl, whom I like so little I actually forgot her name, fits, though I don't like her. Those two characters were both unnecessary additions. And they're taking up development time.

I'd say that the porn is a welcome added ingredient rather than being the be-all and end-all of the game. The characters and plot are interesting enough that I'd happily continue playing the game even without any porn.

How can I reset my progress? I haven't played this in a while and forgot most of the story. I decided to play again so I downloaded the newest version and wanted to start from the beginning. The problem is that most of the gallery is open from my previous run and all of the text has already been "seen" so I sometimes accidentally hit control and skip through some of it. How can I wipe all that and start fully from the beginning?
