I am the same way, came for the renders, the corruption was nicely paced, then stayed for the story. We get to bang a hot Goddess like Nicole every update and it never gets boring. That just shows that the power of writing is much more than just lewd images. Orb really knows how to set up a scenario for the MC to benefit from, that's what makes the sex so interesting and hotter each time, it's the whole corruption mixed with love mixed with the stupidity of the MC's plan sometimes just lucking out, I love it. The MC isn't a genius but he's stacking the chips in his favor and I admire that in this game.
Devs should really take a page out of OrbOrigin's book and study how he sets up a scene, the dialogue is key, the sexy images only help enhances the experience, they have to work together, if one is off then other doesn't work. This is all basic human psychology that's being used and it's the key to making a successful porn game (it's not vanilla).
