From what I remember from recent posts Orb has posted on his Patreon and that have been reposted in this thread by some forum members, Orb had every intention of continuing the release pace you mentioned but, in addition to the RL difficulties he endures, he also had a serious computer problem that erased some of the work he had already done, which justifies this current delay in his recent work pace.

And no, I don't consider Alice's thing a "great mystery" because it's very obvious which two people she's looking for,

I personally disagree with that possibility, since MC is going to need time to finish off John and right now I don't see it clearly, not even with Nicole's support, since MC will want to do it without it being a nuisance for Nicole, and that means maintaining the economic status of her family, who now have to face the (high) medical expenses of a comatose Chloe (In my opinion, the ideal from the point of view of MC and the future family he wants to form with Nicole is for John to disappear from the scene (dead, missing, or imprisoned for something really serious but not directly related to the real estate agency) leaving the various businesses that he or his agency own in the hands of his wife Nicole, who could delegate the day-to-day management to a competent Magic Grand employee, with the supervision of her most trusted person (MC), while she tries to sell to the world that the baby she is expecting (if we are on the route where they confirm the pregnancy when she is camping with MC) is John's "farewell gift" to her, so that the baby will be a legitimate heir to John's assets).

So I think the game will run for a few more parts (especially since many of the previously released parts only add one more day to AML's timeline), especially if Orb intends to tie all the pieces of the main plot together with the various subplots. Furthermore, I am of the opinion that AML will be a game that will have multiple outcomes based on the choices the player makes throughout the game (which could range from ideal, very happy, happy, lukewarm, bittersweet, sad, and desperate), since there are many variables that the game will have to take into account.

An interesting point you make about the nominal ownership of a large part of John's fortune. It's possible that John has placed some properties in his wife's name for tax reasons, and given the mistake of doing so due to the possibility that she might take revenge on him if she discovered his numerous affairs, it wouldn't be a very smart move on his part, but I think it would fit perfectly within his arrogance and the fact that he's always considered her little more than a housewife and a trophy wife to show off at business dinners.

However, a person who is so easily willing to give large sums of money by surprise (like the $250,000 that MC gave in a briefcase to the Watsons on his first assignment) and Nicole's complete failure to mention that she usually signs papers because her husband asks her to, makes me suspect that if Nicole does have things in her name, John must have her express written authorization to do whatever he wants or that it is simply a matter of using her name for things that do not require her to know anything (for example, maybe John has some storage units rented in her name where he keeps objects or documents that he must keep hidden).

Most likely, if he is the sole owner of the real estate agency, he controls his fortune through its accounting (if I remember correctly, I think it has not been mentioned at all that the agency has its own accountant, perhaps because John himself has the authority to do so). In addition, he probably has his own accounts to cover non-legal expenses for his operations, such as those thugs he usually sends but that we only saw when Mr. Blues remembered what happened with John and his wife.

in my country it exists "disposicion indistinta o solidaria" and it means: "Any account holder can carry out transactions and transfer funds with their signature alone, without the need for authorization from the other co-holders. This is the opposite of joint arrangement, where the signature of several or all account holders is required to operate. This arrangement offers flexibility but also entails a greater degree of individual responsibility for the transactions carried out." (I think there is something in the USA but I don't know the name or the banking system there in detail), with a only signature of nicole or silvia posing as nicole or a fake signature with that it is a clear path for money to move without the other parties knowing about it and more its john has "friends" in the bank

As for the WIP previews that Orb's most recent post shows so far:

1. The first one will likely show the exact moment when the red-haired blackmailer named Alicia Robinson sneakily lures MC into the (motel) room where she is half-naked, according to previous WIP previews (I rule out the possibility that this woman is Nicole because the nails that appear in the image seem black and Nicole has red ones; also, that arm looks paler than the skin shown in the second preview, where Nicole clearly appears).
2. As for the second WIP preview, it's clear MC is with our beloved Nicole Heavens, but the location at that moment seems completely new, at least for me. The closest thing I can think of to that place right now would be the pizzeria where John sent MC in order to spy on Vicki and find out if John's suspicions about her stealing the money he asked her to deliver to the pizzeria owner after the scheduled sexual encounter between them were true or not. However, although that place could perfectly be part of a mission by our favorite couple in search of some incriminating evidence against John, personally I think we're looking at a completely new place, probably related to the gargoyle that John yearns for so much or what Alicia wants MC to do.

Well, the three main routes in the game (which differ mainly from each other by Chloe's relationships with MC and Beeman, which are titled Chloe is still MC's girlfriend, Chloe is no longer MC's girlfriend, and Chloe is Strange) are completely canon.

Theories about the new WIP images:

1st WIP Image: I recall and believe we've seen this image before, but I could be wrong. Regardless of whether we have seen this image before. I agree with J0K3RXXX, the place where MC (US) is for this image is at Alicia's hotel or motel room. And it will eventually lead us to the scene in a previous WIP image where we see Alicia half-naked.

2nd WIP Image: I want to believe that the woman we see here is Nicole, but I also have a feeling it's not because we can't see her face properly. Another reason why I don't think it's Nicole it's that MC (US) face looks unsure if the woman we're looking at is really Nicole. If it is Nicole, this is our first WIP image where we see Nicole.

I have two situations:
Situation A (It's Nicole): MC (US) is surprised that we bumped into Nicole at this location.

Situation B (It's not Nicole): MC (US) may think it's Nicole, but it turns out it's not her.

As for where MC (US) is at this location, I'm not exactly sure, but if I were to guess, it could be a diner or coffee shop.

These WIP images are making me more excited for Part 16, and I can't wait!

I know, but the girlfriend path is so barebones compared to the one she is with Beeman that if feels more like an optionto ntr haters than a proper path. Most of the times she doesn't even look like she wants to have sex with MC. I know the focus is Nicole but damn worst couple chemistry i ever saw....meanwhile with Beeman...

Ehhhh.... chemistry only looks better because Beeman actually reciprocates. Unlike our MC who reminds us how inferior Chole is to her mother, every 3 seconds she's on screen. Take a fraction of how we are with Nicole, apply it to Chloe, and voilà. We move closer to parity.

With that said, I do wonder why the route is even a thing. Maybe people complained or something. Because the dev goes out of his/her way. To have the MC remark on the inferiority of the daughter. every. single. time. like goddamn. I get it. Like it gives off a feeling of after thought and I didn't really wanna do this.
