In many stories featuring married women, the narrative often revolves around a man pursuing a relationship just to claim his love and take her away from her uncaring husband. However, this story feels so different. John is a character about whom you can never be sure what he is thinking. He excels at playing with your mind while simultaneously making it seem like he isn't really doing anything against you. Yes, you could say he is a ruthless businessman, but aside from that, what evil actions has he committed against the mc? The main character's mother even went to him for help herself. He impregnated the bar owner's wife, but the backstory shows it was the wife's wish because she desired him. John accepted the main character as his daughter's boyfriend and treated him with respect, even offering him a good job at his company. What did he get in return? The mc cheated on his daughter with her mother and is now trying to undermine him. Not to mention, it is never really made clear whether he actually knows about the main character's affair with Nicole, which gives off such a playing with fire feeling to the story really a well wrote character overall

Now, to answer your question: in Part 10, when the MC and Silvia visit the clothing store run by Alicia, she raises a very important question — why would John appoint a male in his office? She is surprised to see the MC, as she had never seen any male worker at Magic Grand. All those who work there are alluring women, and we know what purposes John uses them for. So, unless there is a very special reason, John would not appoint the MC.


I personally believe the MC is John’s son. Though we don’t have much proof to support this, there are some hints. One of those I just mentioned. Another is John calling him “son.” And if you remember, Alicia also mentions more than a couple of times that they both sound similar. Also one more thing I believe Chloe is not John and Nichole's daughter.

wow, You're saying that instead of a "metaphorical son" it's a "literal" son. Well, that would explain the "John and MC are the same" and would explain the sex scene between Chloe and MC being "off", I'm not saying it's a crazy theory, but I see it as 70% "crazy" with 30% "I see it as possible"(but it leaves many questions, like "John and Jenny have crossed paths before ?" and "John's instincts for control have been going on for longer than five years".)

There has been a lot of theorizing in this thread about the possibility of MC being John's son, the most likely possibility being (and as long as Orb maintains his intentions of not pissing off the puritanical Patreon managers) that MC was not raised by his biological parents but by his biological uncles, since in that case he would be the secret son of John and Jenny's heart-sick sister. But for this to comply with Patreon's current policies, Chloe should not be the biological daughter of John and Nicole, but of another couple (in this regard, the most likely possibility would be that of Abigail's sister, due to the enormous resemblance between her and Chloe).

The theory is that Hal and Jenny (correct me if I'm wrong on the names) are MC (US) Uncle and Aunt, and our true biological mother is our Aunt Martha (correct me if I'm wrong on the name). Yeah, I know and I already mentioned in my earlier comment that Chloe might not be John and Nichole’s daughter. But I still strongly believe the MC is John’s son. As for who his mother could be, that’s a controversial topic. It could be Aunt Martha, or it could even be Jenny herself.
Or just this entire thing could wrong and Hal and Jenny might only be his actual parents.

patreon prohibits any incest. john didn't raise mc instead mc's parents did.

Considering John's personality and his obsession with history and genealogy, I highly doubt that John would conspire in any way to get his wife pregnant by another man without her knowledge.

Thank you very much for sharing this new Orb post, Raminita.

As for its WIP previews:

1. The first one will likely show one moment of the scene where some men appeared to be harassing Alicia Robinson and MC as they were walking through a park. After reading that part of the code in one of the early previews for the new Part 16, I initially thought they were just some drunk passersby that the two characters happened to encounter. But now, with this WIP preview, I'm starting to think that this might actually be the first encounter between the MC and some of the thugs that John usually hires to provide muscle for the evictions he orchestrates.
2. As for the second WIP preview, it's clear that MC is calming or reassuring a woman or that he is carrying her in his arms. The image is still very much a work in progress, but at first glance, it seemed to me that the woman in question could be Silvia (in which case, it looks like she has decided to trust him again, likely after their intense conversation between the three of them (including Nicole) about where they might find the gargoyle that John so desperately wants, and perhaps also about what Alicia Robinson truly wants by blackmailing MC with that gargoyle). However, after taking a closer look, I think it could possibly be the younger sister of the Bakers, who suffers from some illness, and for that reason her older sister decided to steal some money from John. If the last possibility is indeed what actually happens in Part 16, I think it could reveal something that resolves the uncertainty surrounding them and their past, especially regarding that sensational article about their possible parents that MC found while reviewing John's computer files.

Whatever happens in the new Part 16, I'm looking forward to seeing and reading its content.

Theory time:

I agree with all of the points that J0K3RXXX has said in the two WIP images that were shared with us. But for the second image, I have a feeling the girl we see MC (US) carrying here is Mimi. What will her reaction be, depending on whether we choose to help her or not? We'll soon find that out when Part 16 is released.

As usual, I'm very excited to see what happens when Part 16 is released.
