Thank you for helping out Luckypig for resurrecting this game that I loved so much before it got seemingly abandoned. I almost lost all hope then you and him are helping resurrect it.
I might not always respond daily in this conversation, but best know that I am following your efforts combined with WolverineCTX closely. In fact, so closely that I need people to understand how crazy your work is. I had to pull up some of my AOA playthroughs in order to check a few things. I want to, at risk of comparisons in quality, want to showcase how close the models are to the ones TLG used.
Before I do though, I want to say that TLGGAMES absolutely had god-tier rendering. (Yes, excluding the overblown lighting - that's a style preference) I have played many games and few were strikingly beautiful, but A.o.A matches depth of field with texture detail and insane camera work. Even big, professional games would not hit the level that TLG has gotten from the start of A.o.A. So it would be absolutely unfair, maybe even toxic to expect someone to replicate what has been done with the game. In showing this, I ONLY want to showcase how far the efforts of LuckyPig and Wolverine have gotten them. It has made many fans, including myself excited, even without all the bloomy edits and rendering tricks from the game's renders.
Yes, we can all find things that aren't the same or might not be like the game. Let's not focus on that, because what ultimately matters is that characters are recognizable. And they are, very much so.
In doing these direct comparisons, I've actually come to appreciate your efforts even more. These are strikingly similar, down to the point where they're instantly recognizable and can't be mistaken for any other character of the series. That's a huge feat and it brings a big smile to my face. This is already great, seeing people bring these characters back to life. I'm hoping you guys will attain to much more, but this is already awesome.
I'm really happy to see someone trying to resurrect this masterpiece. I was sad when i learned that it had been abandoned and all the signs after that pointing towards it not going to be continued in the future either(By the developer). I was hoping for a miracle, so maybe this is it haha
Amazing work on the models this far. Very recognizable as people mentioned before, some minor differences sure, like Sung Yi's eyes curving slightly more down, a bit more space between mouth and nose and her and Rebecca's skin not being so shiny/oily, but the hair detail looks crazy good. But I mean overall amazing and I'm sure the end results will be too. The effort is very much appreciated.
Luckypig and Wolverine, our heroes, will graduate AOA academy with honors and diplomas and whatever else we can throw at them
TLG, you fucking dickhead. Look at your fans right now, they clearly love A.O.A deeply and even finishing the ending by themselves since you're decided to abandoning it without saying anything.

There there, its okay. Im here for you
TLG is afk, we must accept that. Their reasons are their own. Its hard to make games, like in this economy? Crazy.
But let's press on and think positive, who was your favorite character and what did you like about them?

yeah that about sums it up, you all looked like you really wanted an ending so I thought I'd take up the challenge, after fooling around with some code I found it was possible to make a game right where it left off, so now im in the assest replication stage, trying to make things as close as possible, once im in a good place I'll get into a few test renders with lighting, then write a script, code it, im thinking of doing a mini chapter to sort of test the waters and we'll see what you guys think about it, maybe make some tweaks before jumping into the deep end with a full new chapter.
