Before the guy disappeared, he had commented on another season that would come later.

However, with Adam getting what he deserves, would the game end or would there still be a plot behind it to resolve? (with the cartel for example)

If you don't mind a cliff hanger that's never going to be resolved and relationship promises that will never be fulfilled, sure. It's actually a pretty decent game otherwise.

In my opinion YES, there is a fair amount of content and the journey is enjoyable, even if you have an unsatisfying ending.
