VN - Ren'Py - A Perfect Marriage [v0.7.1] [Mr Palmer]

Great game overall. A bit slow on corruption, but it's the first thing mentioned in the description, pretty great and unique female model, pretty great story (it still has some minor holes like the husband being too naive-but hey it's a corruption game after all). The only thing that is keeping me from 5 stars and actively supporting (without cancelling) is that it's a bit slow on the development/content provided ratio. Probably top 5 for me on female protagonist Renpy's.

The writing is on point and semi-realistic. The events are very hot but a little restrained. I really like how these characters relate to one another. Some feel real, others not so much. I hope David gets a better opportunity to express himself sexually like the wife does. The cheating sometimes feels authentic and other times it feels forced. I gave it 5 stars because I can enjoy it for what it is. If you're looking for a full release this game might not be for you. If you're someone who likes to wait then check it out!

So where do I begin with this game...

Pros:

• Decent renders
• lovely marriage at first
• could be a decent story

Cons:

• How is the husband not beating the ever living shit out of people??
• Husband is way too naive with his friend Chris
• With how much trust is at the beginning of their marriage, why wouldn't the wife say Chris is texting her way too much and is flirting even when she asked him to stop??

To be honestest, I could go on about how everything is so odd, there is trust but at the same time no trust at all. They love each other but yet they don't make any time for each other (Yes I know the husband work place is in a bad spot) Also why not give the option to skip the gym or go to a different one since Alexia is a crazy bitch lol.

Sorry just not the game for me.

Perfectly paced so far compared to many "tease / blue balls" genre representatives. No unnecessary side stories or filler characters that artificially inflate the gameplay duration. without moving forward.

This visual novel or kinetic novel concept and premise has great potential. The idea of slow corruption of a beautiful wife is nothing new yet still interesting.

However the path developer has been going on is rather redundant. It's understandable if there's slow progress or gradual process of introducing corruption and sexuality into the plot story.

Yet spending several years to build-up a tease, or idea of teasing then prematurely ending it right before corruption sequence could affect the plot, and directly jumping onto some other idea of tease, which might take several years to reach conclusion or maybe not. This is a serious issue with this project development, in my opinion at least.

Models look good (nothing outstanding) and posing is quite nice. Too many characters have been introduced already, yet not much content both story wise or corruption wise.

UI is smooth without any over-the-top technicalities and game interface works as intended.

Also, zero sexual content for several years. Office Chad & Chris are called players and ladies man in the KN, however never shown hanging out with ladies.

David is the worst mc and husband, neither good in bed, nor at work. His so-called "friends" hate him, conspiring and plotting for his ruin. His ex-girlfriend is a criminal, manipulating, resourceful genius and he also his family is plain stupid. You'll never want to play David as MC, much prefer to be playing as wife Anna or any other villain character. Thus POV system is rather redundant.

There's a lot to appreciate from this story, but it's so badly pieced together. The manipulation of outside forces is a fantastic angle to take and the way things are being layout isn't necessarily bad, however there's a lot of problems here too. The first being that no couple with the amount of trust these two show at the start would put up with this shit. I'm serious, what wife wouldn't trust her husband enough for her to listen to his side of things and take to word of a stranger? And what husband would tolerate the amount of men trying to get into his wife's pants without it coming to blows? Of course much of this would require her to be honest in the first place and tell him. Which is NEVER AN OPTION. Sorry, my frustration is high with this one. This would be a completely different take if she was naturally a slut. But that's clearly not the case here. David never asks to see his accusers and his wife, a person whom he has dedicated his life to, immediately believes their word over his. What the fuck?

Anna is an incredibly flawed character who craves the attention she's receiving from other men over her husband's. And that right there should mean she doesn't want to be married, period. I'm not kidding. She clearly likes the support he provides, but has no interest in the marriage. So why are we having to go through all these different points in her life that she should feel bad about? Is it to build up the fact that she's just in denial about wanted to fuck everything that moves? On top of that there are flashbacks where the wife just lets men feel her up quite literally all of the time and she has never brought it up to her husband. Not even once. Plus, she's constantly texting other men. This is before the trouble started. Tell me something, what married woman texts and confides in another man about her husband? If the answer is "no wife who wants to stay married" then congratulations you win. This is an untrustworthy and frankly evil person who clearly cares what other people think about her than the one person it should count from and is a very bad judge of character. Especially the fact that Chris, a friend of David's, consistently hits on and touches Anna and she never tells her husband about the creep. This would be fine if she was written to be an attention craving whore, but she's not supposed to be so ... yeah, badly written character.

Look if you're going to write an NTR story, make your characters smart. Either make them cunning or innocent/honest, but susceptible to corruption. But above all smart. Stupid characters are insanely frustrating to deal with in an NTR and sadly their the easiest ones to write into this scenario because intelligent people figure shit out pretty fast. I feel like this is my constant complaint with these types of stories. Dev do yourself a favor and play through "A Mother's Love" to see how a corruption path/s should evolve. It's a story that evolves from a wife's attempt to stop her daughter dating. She has some much dissatisfaction from a husband who ignores her, literally treats her like she's his maid, and shows a women grappling with the immorality of sleeping with not only a younger man but her daughter's boyfriend and unable to come to grips with "is it lust or love." Sure the pacing is off and there are other factors involved (including NTR on the MC from his girlfriend if he neglects her too long fyi) but it's pretty damn good, NTR included. But see, David isn't written like that. He's attentive and caring. He doesn't expect his wife to do everything in the house. He's more than happy to have sex with his wife whenever the opportunity knocks. So why isn't he smart enough to tell the bitch at the gym, "stay the fuck away from me, never talk to me again," actually mean it and put his bag in a locker after the first interaction, especially when his wife asks why he smells like perfume? Also, what guy wouldn't smell perfume all over his gym bag? Does David have no sense of smell? That immediately got me asking, "what the fuck?" Why the hell, after insisting that she stay away from him, did he immediately, without the readers input, decide to dance with her. Dude, come on. Two brain cells. That's all I'm asking for. How this group of deplorable characters plan is working at all at this point is baffling to me.

And here's the part that should be in this and simply isn't. The story should revolve around isolating the characters from each other. Send him away on business. Send her on a company trip when he returns. Have them both confiding in other people about how difficult it is to be basically a single parent when the other is gone. Have him confiding in someone he and the reader thinks they can trust. This should include women from work on David's end. Hell throw in the chubby receptionist from Anna's work too while you're at it. Right now, events seem to be happening too quickly. And a lot of trust is being put into complete strangers and the antagonists playing against both characters are so corrupt and disgustingly awful I feel like I'm having to make every choice possible to not allow them to get their way. When in reality I should be looking forward to the next pick-up line for either David or Anna. And here's the thing. These characters are so unbelievably disgusting, I'm willfully denying myself any future payoff even if it means Anna and David get divorced over this nonsense, so long as no one gets their way.

These outside forces should be subtle in their lust after the MCs without direct intentions of getting the other person to cheat with them right away ... perhaps with the exception of maybe one or two characters. As it is these relationships are so ham-fistedly written I read this VN with utter confusion as to why the MCs are so frustratingly stupid. Why hasn't Anna immediately put one and one together that David says he's innocent and yet Chris is the one sending her proof and he also trying to fuck her constantly? How is she this dumb. Why hasn't David asked her who the hell she's texting all of the time or just taken her phone? Why hasn't the thought that she's cheating crossed his mind? The point is that corruption should become a growing desire over time for all characters. Ask "how do I explain why Anna (it's always Anna too btw) is okay with this guy feeling her up?" "What happened between these two characters to make this behavior okay right now?"

Unfortunately, this requires a lot of build up and readers aren't likely to put up with it. Heck with as thin as the content is now I wouldn't be surprised if readers have already dropped off. The main way to fix this story is to have flash backs be the build up. Make Anna promiscuous in her youth. And didn't want to settle down until she met David. Have those be the initial point where lust was planted for some characters. Not a quick, "oh hey, Anna, let me feel you up a second. You won't tell your husband ever and won't mind, right?" Create something with substance. And let David have genuine reactions to people he knows are working against him. Give him a chance to record shit on his phone to play for his wife to prove his innocence. AND PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, let him confront his accusers for crying out loud. Make Anna smart cause right now she's dumb as a bag of hammers. Make her willing to us her sex appeal to get what she wants a work and let the reader decide where to draw the line. Have her reflect on past events to let her see how she's constantly being abused and does nothing about it. I've literally known girls like this and they couldn't add 2 and 2 together yet you expect me to believe Anna's a business woman? Right. Give her a conscience (she has none right now) and let the reader decide if she's willing to ignore that conscience because the pleasure was fun enough to ignore the guilt. Either that or make her a literal cucking whore who has been begging to get fucked by every other man ever since she got pregnant. I don't see this being an enjoyable continuing story in my opinion. I just can't see a woman smart enough to be a working professional, high up in a company, be so dumb as to not realize she's being played right away. If the objective is to just have a cucking story, take away choice. Choices don't matter in a story about a willfully ignorant slut and man whore. So if that's the point, tell that story. But don't ask the reader to participate when the choices don't reflect how any human being would react. And that's the problem with most NTR stories, they have to be grounded in reality a bit in order to work and that reality has to do with human interactions. It could be in a fantasy setting and the same issues would apply. So the narrator needs to focus on telling a compelling story to get the reader invested and believe what each character is doing is actually what they themselves might do.

Anyway, the things to like about this are the models. Those are great. The story has some legs but needs a lot of improvement. But VN didn't crash on me so that's a plus. As always, I wish the dev nothing but the best and hope they've found their audience. If you like this VN do the dev a favor and write a review. Also keep in mind these VNs are uploaded for us to enjoy for free so if you enjoyed it think about kicking back some support to the dev.

Good game, story progresses very slow but it doesn't make it any less hotter, if you like slow corruption games with some ntr this game is for you. That being said it's not 5 stars, i'm only giving it that because the anti-ntr crowd is too rowdy and will review bomb any game with it. it's a solid four maybe four and a half though.

Graphically, an average game, some errors in some scenes, audio not received, but now the sore point, after months of waiting, of promises on the progress of the game and the story, to date, unfortunately, we are at zero on the story side, a myriad of game suspensions, too much pause during Anna's or David's too many thoughts, the game has more action during the hidden sections than during real life, then as usual in these games, we usually have a very idiotic MC or too naive, which is a bad thing, considering that in this case Anna is the weak point of the story, a married woman, an adult, a recent mother, and an established professional, but too much, too dominated by the evil Kendra, proof that she trusts of people she has met for a very short time, and not of her husband. this brings down the story, then, all these fake friends of the husband who only have the aim of screwing Anna, another typical characteristic of NTR, so all in all, a typical game of this genre, on the contrary, it is not the husband who stupid, but it's the wife's turn, that's all.

I have to accept..I do have a love/hate relationship for this VN.

The story and plot is so good and has a huge potential that I cannot ignore it's update.
On the other hand for corruption path I always have found this story lag in sexual contents for long time.
So, my review is based on Today's released version 0.71...I actually liked it and the way the developer initiated the pace of sexual content...I was hoping for something slow burn, snail pace like Awam, but it is better than AWAM story wise and now this VN can compete with AWAM on sexual content wise too.
Kudos to the developer to give an amazing start to Part 3.

Little bit of nitpick: There are few dialogues in corruption route that I feel it has been overlooked and it's almost same as faithful path which could be different. Beside that , renders are good, there's always scope of improvement.... but still it's better than many other VNs in this forum.

P.s: If I will find the upcoming updates are becoming tease festival or boring, I will change the rating...but for this update 5/5.

To add: I really want to like this one (somewhat do so far) but...
There are actions by Anna (the wife) in part 1 that make absolutely no sense when playing David (the husband) as faithful. With no corruption for either, Anna does something that no loving, faithful, rational wife would do. Then, in part 2, to correct this lack of player choice/control, player gets a choice to determine how Anna "feels" about the specific action. This takes place after player gets "corruption" choices early on in part 2. Then later, player gets a choice for Anna to do or not do the same/similar action player had no control over in part 1. This misaligned order of choices, events, and consequences causes some problems that need to be addressed/resolved/corrected in part 3 in order for the faithful route to make sense. I will happily increase my rating if part 3 adequately corrects or addresses Anna's baffling character and actions in part 1 & 2 relative to this specific event sequence.

There's slow burns and there's A Perfect Marriage, 2 years of carefully orchestrated buildup and then several new characters are introduced which absolutely derailed my interest.

The initial storyline was fine, and the visuals are good but repeating plotlines from other characters point of view break the immersion, becomes tedious and feels like filler.

In fairness the dev has always said it'll be a slow burn but I can't help feeling it'll be another year before the initial storyline gets picked up again.

Great game , loved playing the sexy events and wife being in the ordeal of whether to give up or not.

pros would be great renders and decent looking models , cons imo that game has things that I personally do not like such as the fat guy groping but i won't lower my rating cuz of that

The story is good. The premise is good. The potential is good. Sadly after multiple years of work, the story is going nowhere.

This VN plays like a long trashy novel, that women love. Nothing happens and I mean NOTHING HAPPENS, the only sex is a very lame scene between the husband and wife. There is an implied scene between the husband and some rando from the gym and that's it.

I don't think the dev has the writing talent to pull off what they set out to accomplish, long meandering story is honestly kinda hot but it never pays off. Hopefully they hire a better writer and for gods sake a better graphics artist. The renders get better but the first part is rough looking.

The premise is great and it has so much potential it's just sad the pace things are going. Try back in 2-3 years and maybe something will finally happen.

I can't believe this game took almost two years to make, we can't even see the female lead's naked. Splitting it into male and female perspectives just feels like a ploy by the developers to write more nonsense and drag things out.

There are so many better ways to depict separate perspectives, but the developers chose the most boring option: replaying the same week as if nothing ever happened.

2 points for the super HOT Anna.

5/5 one of the best slow-burn corruption games on the site, a lot more realistic than most games out there (even if it does rely on "porn logic" for some interactions). Yes the development takes a while but that shouldn't take away any stars.

great game, lovely renders, interesting story, pervy characters, reluctant female lead, slow burn, what more can you ask for?!

would love some more pregnancy and lactation content. some more options based on actions she can choose from would be fun too! as well as picking her outfits and not wearing panties/bras would be a fun route to choose. letting marvin feel her up without underwear under her outfit would be extremely hot!

• Long stretches of dialogue with the same renders, without variety

Artwork, facial animation, story - top quality! You won't find anything better in the slow burn corruption genre. I am a big fan of corruption and have played hundreds of games with this genre, but this is the most interesting, intriguing and exciting game!
Claims for the game or I would say concerns about the game can only be on two components.
1. The increase in the number of characters, which at current levels of development could drag the game down.
2. Increased development cycles.
But the claim that the main character Anna doesn't start fucking everyone is ridiculous. The way the teasing, groping scenes are written, the emotions of embarrassment, hidden pleasure, Anna's indignation are amazing. The game is very much exciting, it is not necessary sex right now, the gradual corruption of the heroine excites the mind. Anna has many more stages of depravity to go through: kissing, jerking, blowjobs and more. Those who demand an immediate transformation of the heroine into a slut are mistaken section, there are a lot of games where after the first shy touch of a man, the heroine is highly aroused and begins to fuck everyone in a row. It's really sad that some people want to turn this masterpiece into a slutfest as well

I’ll write straight about the big elephant in the room: after 2 years of development the amount of real adult content is non-existent!

All you get so far is a little bit of sexting, lingerie photos and some groping. This is neither satisfying nor enough for an adult game. I very well understand the concept of slow burn stories, but 2 years without any real progress in that matter is more than many are willing to tolerate.

So far updates only add more and more teasing to ridiculous levels, since players of this vn didn’t even see the female protagonist’s bare breasts or nipples yet. It’s a bad joke so far, she even masturbates fully clothed (there are some lame and not really convincing excuses for that story wise, like she didn’t want her husband to see, what she was doing despite being in a different room anyway). Even in her own bathroom at home and the dressing room of a public pool the protagonist isn’t shown naked, while undressing. This is clearly intentional by the dev to increase the teasing to absurd levels. Remember: it’s been 2 years since this vn started and the female protagonist wasn’t even shown naked, yet!

This vn about a marriage under attack features awesome daz3d renders and a stunning Caucasian blonde milf beauty, called Anna. Her 3d model is incredibly hot and the dream of most men come true, hence this vn got an almost die-hard fan base.

Story wise this is supposed to be a ntr/corruption based vn, despite also a faithful route in the future. Many of the almost fanatical fanboys (getting totally worked-up even about justified criticism) claim, that the story was so realistic for an adult game. But this isn’t the case! The slow character building wannabe "realistic" approach is also used as justification for the lack of sexual content.

Since this review is already too long, I’ll summarize quickly:

• The daz3d renders are very good quality.
• The female protagonist is a blonde bombshell milf, with an extremely "flawed" and frustrating personality.
• 2 years of development and no sexual content, not even nakedness of the protagonist, only endless teasing.
• Story and character build-up is claimed to be realistic, but it isn’t (which wouldn’t be such a problem, if it wasn’t claimed in the first place).
• Choices are mainly fake choices, they don’t seem to have a real impact on many dialogues or even actions taking place.

All in all 2 stars for the time being! (APM has got the potential for much more! BUT potential alone isn't enough for a high rating!)
