Yeah, other games in similar format uses this approach: When showing multiple choices, the bottom box increases in size as to fit it all inside.
I think it's better to be ugly for a bit than to not be functional enough.
There were times I choose the first option without even realizing there was more...
Another thing that I noticed is that the "Export" buttons are fixed in place, rather than relative to the save slot, so if you're like on save 5+ with the screen scrolled down and click the three dots, the button will appear outside the clickable area.
And another thing I think would make the system/UI better is to order the contacts from most recent message to oldest ones, so that all current chats stay on top, and also show a visual indicator that you need to take action in some chat (like some unread icon).
But for the plot aspect: Really liking it so far!
Not much content yet, but very promising!
