Main reason of that bug it's a size of original pictures and transform operations applied to them. You can resize all pictures to 1080p but they will smaller in game. Need to modify scripts as well, but they in compiled (binary) form.

That wall of text... I like VNs too much. TLDR: Atelier Sakura games are not all netorase, use hookTL. Laura is acting ooc. The 'family' route, as is, lacks subtly and believably. Routes don't change how VNs are played. Games get critiqued. Game's kinda good. I think Harry and Aya's topless drugged CG is missing. I mean we get a CG of Aya's butt, Laura's remote vibe up her skirt. Let's go.
Yeah I've read the sequel. It invalidates the impact of her betrayal, and places much of the blame on her. In the beginning of the first game she is likable, trying to please her husband, then becoming corrupted by the end, at the full and complete fault of MC. In the sequel she just gets gross, acting terrible to her husband, having sex with anyone she can at the swingers club. Even so far as to bang her husbands rival, bully... Keep in mind it's been awhile sense I've played it, so the details may be off, but he's a early plot point of the first game, critical to how the MC fell in love with MH. Player agency is better, as we can get MC to throw her out. It's not bad, it's just up to what the original was.
I think your approach to the narrative is the one to go with. Kinda like giving it a crutch. Super hacker is Aya? eh? I don't know, but it sounds cool.

I know, the fundamental aspect of Atelier games is they assume one inserts oneself into MC(male) or at least is interested in the MC struggle.. This is not for me, i don't care about MC at all. I will feel bad if he is suffering too much as per aspect of empathy but per approach he is useful idiot.
You touch on the subject of scenes lacking realism, that MC should realize she is having sex. Let me quote myself from older post :
"Realism is needed to develop the story, characters, to make their feelings relatable, their troubles easily understood.
Realism is NOT needed in sex scenes. In ntr the scenes need to be possible rather than probable."
Harry's doesn't realize she is cheating because he is afraid of being betrayed.. He is afraid to the point that he denies such possibility. Not only he will grasp on any excuse but also will avoid situation that could show him truth. This happens to people with trauma. You may notice that to a point Harry is/can be suspicious of Laura, but then he has the moment of recalling his past, opening the closet he locked and after that point he never considers Laura could be cheating ever again.
So i very much disagree that normal 2 (you refer it as family) is poorly written. It is excellent as far as I'm concerned. That doesn't mean that some things couldn't be improved (mug), but I'm not looking for things that you are looking for.

I'm confused. I went in and changed the screen size in game and it did nothing. Also, the pictures used to be completely normal 2 or 3 updates ago. Did they go in and change all the picture sizes at that time? If it is a matter of adjusting something and it's not the in game screen size options, where am I supposed to change it.
...and just for curiousity sake, is the reason they changed all the scene picture sizes a few releases back known?
It's not about screen size, it's about pictures size. They all in 4k but most of players using 1080p resolution, so game need transform them (down scale) and that operation broken. If you scale down all pictures, then game show them without split bug but game will try scale down them anyway so they will smaller on the screen.

Are you saying I need to go to each individual picture and crop/edit them? I'm really not going to do that, if that's the case.
I was posting because I thought it was a bug. But if the creator literally changed his pictures so they will only work on 4k and not 1080. That's kind of screwed this whole thing. I'll keep an eye out to see if it ever gets fixed. But I'm not going to alter ever picture file in the game to make it function again.
Nothing that we can prove but yea the last reviews lack merit or are just misinformed.

The resizing may be the problem but game certainly plays fine on 1080. No idea if the dev is already aware of the issue, but i would imagine he would need some kind of information on your spec/system to pin it down.
It's not hard to resize them, it's just don't solve whole problem. And that problem I'm suppose happens depends on gpu/os specs as well. It's worked fine before probably cause he used lower resolution for pictures (need old version for check) or he changed something in scripts and broke it not intentionally.
You didn’t play Boku no Kanojo wa Gatenkei since that seems like the holy grail of NTR in a lot of ppl I’ve seen talk about and I agree for the most like some of those games have great art like I am a big fan of Anim team artstyle but the connections between the characters falls flat or isn’t developed enough.
just played the game going through the harry perspective I assumed that would be reccomended two questions so are the different endings just different ntr endings? and is Aya actually want the mc or just being a distraction I think it's the second one because i trust nothing the girls say.
I have seen the routes, thank you very much. When you read a book or watch a TV show with several protagonists, do you follow their adventures one by one? No, because that would be pretty damn boring. And that's what's happening right now.

You do. You have protagonists that have separate stories and their ways don't cross until much later. Or you have stories where you have additional protagonists added much later to the story, yet you can see them in the cover art or intros.
Cover just shows characters present at some point, it doesn't mean they are the main protagonists. If you read the overview it is clear that is not about the girls but the guy and only one girl is mentioned. Main protagonist ain't even on the art.
To top it all off, Aya is very much present in the story from the start. Then the story splits and currently developed route doesn't doesn't include her but the others will. If you don't understand that the game is in development what there is to say ?
Opinions also speak about the ones that make them.
Books or TV shows don't usually have branching paths that force the viewer to keep a specific character distant from the mc

Well this is a vn where choices leads to an ending and the stories have some kind of tree structure to it. There's nothing wrong with developing it depth first rather than breadth first which might not be applicable to the release schedule.
Yeah indeed, some f95 mod had to get involved solving it because the other fanbase started writing revenge reviews as well. Well I can say that the creator of fleeting iris / heaven studios is likely an assh*le for starting it, maybe he did not like his patreon number dwindling while the other rises.

Initially i read only the first sentence, and i was: "Oh yeah, sometimes there are some dumb reviews with 1 or 5 stars just to boost/ruin rating, from new accounts with just couple posts", then i read the second sentence and now i am: "WTF is this guy smoking?"
All i know is Zellemate once left a HONEST review about Star Knightess Aura, speaking about the game at that time ( that had almost no CGs, so that happened MONTHS ago) after i told him that game had a very interesting corruption mechanic, but it was very early in developement. That said, iirc he got a huge uproar for leaving that kind of review, because when you have such a role, you can no longer have a personal opinion, apparently. I also wanna point out that Zellemate isn't a developer, he picked up the role of community manager to report people questions to the actual devs. He's part of the team, but he doesn't actually work on the game.
I'm also glad Sedid gave you an answer about his thoughts. I also think the game is getting worse ( ofc as my standards/likings), since the highest peak imho was the whole "rules" system. If you take that out of the equation, the quality imho drops. And that's just for the writing. I'll for sure not leave any kind of review, i really don't care at this point, i don't trust that system at all. I've considered couple times to help the project, but if you're part of that community, i think i'll hardly pass.
May i gently ask you to speak about facts/question you actually know, instead of spreading false shit? That should be the base for a good education. You're pretty wrong about Patreon numbers as well ( at least about Heaven Studios numbers, since they are the only ones i actually check).
