ADVICE to whoever having problems for this game:

Please change your system locale to Japanese. Then download the file again and extract it.

OR

Try Rubix's or Chipanator's solution. If you don't have Winrar or 7zip, install either one of them or figure out other ways. Not my problem.

P.S: You must change your system locale first to Japanese before extracting the game. If not it won't work unless you use Rubix's or Chipanator's solution. Basically, whoever who extracts the game first in non Japanese locale and then change your locale to Japanese in order to play the game will have problems. I have attached an image below for Japanese system locale setting.

TLDR: If you still don't know how to make it work properly, PM me and I will sent you invites to my exclusive Japanese system locale club.

Yo, I'm a bit stuck and I'm hoping somebody can help me. Not with the story, mind you, but with the 200k+ gold I have
What on earth do I spend it on besides items and luck in the church? I assume there are other places to spend gold to increase stats, but I have no idea where they are.
Similarly, I'm also wondering where I can get the items for mixing in the mix shop
Do I have to progress further in the story? Have I missed something? I've been completing every side quest so far, and I'm at Delia's path 8 (the one with the lizard army). Considering there are 90 paths, I doubt I'm even a 1/10th of the way through the game, though

Any help is appreciated!

This is just the data folder only, still need game from front page.

I took a little time while I was playing this and started with hewhocumsbynight translation that although it did hit the high point's left a lot of dialogue, and posted amounts as in "Got this much of this or that".

I was bothered by this and pushed through the script's and map's, and other places and I believe I have translated it all now.

If I update it I will raise the update number Of my translation data to something like Data_Update02, 03 and so on so you know if have my latest editing.
Installing
1. To use back up your Data folder encase you don't like my fix, that way you can put it back like it was.

2. Extract my re done data folder to your main game folder, and allow it to overwrite. ( That's it, should be ready to test, and hope you enjoy my effort )

Uninstalling or problems
That should do it if have any problems just put your backed up data folder ( remember I told you to back it up) back in, and allow it to overwrite my stuff, and you will be back to square one.

Any way I think makes game much more pleasurable to play if you are English speaking.

EDIT >>>Updated Again I think I have A pretty solid complete translation now I played through the game with it, I feel good about it, what " hewhocumsbynight" did was very good I just extended on it and finished what was not done, and I feel it will make your game play much better over all.

Hope you enjoy my labor I am sort of a Shoku fan. I might pick at it a little more, but most nearly all of the MTL is gone now, and you should not stumble onto any untranslated text at all I don't think.

I wonder if it is not a poorly UN-packaged zip file, I do not have audio/se/decision 3 in my autio files.

Yet Have played this one through many times.

I know some extraction programs fail to extract Japanese text properly, ( RAR I think being one of them if not set up or extracted properly ) and this can be a problem, I have never had this problem, but I have read where others have had it, and I do not remember the exact fix.

I use 7z, but I also in cases where the Japanese text did not unzip properly have had luck with Bandzip, which is another extraction program.

May not be any help to you, but is all I can think of.

That would be tricky considering the lead has links to 7z archives and not zip archives. Filenames in 7z archives are always encoded in UTF-8 so there should not be a problem there.

Broken zip programs allow one to create zip archives with illegal encodings because they just let bytes go through raw from the system locale "OEM" or "ANSI" encodings. This goes back to the original PKZIP which originally ignored filename encodings and assumed the locale encoding would be the same all locations (where zipped and unzipped). The author did not consider such things until later. Due to this, ZIP officially supports

to be compatible with the original command-line PKZIP in US MSDOS environments for which PKZIP was created for. It later gained support for UTF-8 encoded filenames and zip programs are supposed to handle which by encoding filenames as CP437 when all the characters can be encoded as such and UTF-8 otherwise (although technically they could just UTF-8 encode all filenames). This means zip archives with some files named in Japanese should be encoded with default CP437 for most files and as UTF-8 for those with characters outside those like ones with Japanese names. However, due to the historic proliferation of zip archives created by dumb zip programs in other locales like CP932/SJIS used in Japan (similar but different problems also exist from China, etc.) many zip program authors feel some pressure to keep this misfeature alive so are remiss to strictly adhere to zip archive specification leaving us with this mess.

Some programs that handle zip archives are aware of zip archives that are created by other zip programs that do not correctly handle filename encodings. They let you select which filename encoding to decode the filenames stored in the zip archive. Winrar is one such program. 7-Zip also allows such but there is no GUI interface for that and one has to use the command-line to access that functionality (I use it for broken zips from F95, etc.).

Other archive formats like 7z and rar have no such issues.

Sadly most Japanese porn game developers still zip archive their releases with broken CP932 encoded filenames. English translators should correct this re-releasing them in other archive formats (or at least proper zip formats).

Here's a different 100% save file, I'd like to think I've played rather thoroughly, it has all the H-scenes, full bestiary, full item record, all equipment, all sidequests, all stats maxed out (except hp and mp), and all Delia's Path... except for 83, which I can't figure out what it is, if someone figures that out, please do tell

You can get 83 title by making your entire army obliterated by losing to the enemy army but there was a bug in original ulmf translation where even if you fight with only 30 soldiers, you always win the battle.

I fixed that bug and it should be working fine now, just extract and replace to game directory.

Which platform are you running on? Windows 10?

Perhaps you can post a save just before the crash?

That error message is typically issued when a string is not properly closed and the parser gets confused trying to parse subsequent code (that is normally okay).

EDIT: I tried reverting to the version of the game provided in the OP download links and was able to get through the event without the crash (although the dialogue was untranslated). Reapplying the patch from Post #175 of this thread caused the crash to recur.

It would see that patch has introduced a bug then and you should try to get the author of the patch to fix it. I assume you are referring to the following post.

Maybe you can get taglag to take a look. I am sure the save you posted will be useful for such an investigation.

I am sorry but I am unfamiliar with that patch and I do not really have bandwidth to pick it up and take a look myself (I played this game quite some time ago and the Japanese does not bother me much).
