Count me as one of the optimistic ones then. This is one of the few vns where an LI that I strongly disliked at the start became my favorite LI by the last chapter (Mai). That's just good character writing. So I really want to see where this one goes.

I have several abandoned and on-hold games on my F95 checker. If they suddenly start updating again it will tell me but I'm not holding my breath on any of them.

Uh, unless I'm very much mistaken it's not supposed to be hot there, just dark, gloomy, silent, and presumably boring as fuck (which I guess is better than the alternative).

That's correct; Sheol is basically the bottomless pit. Another name for Sheol is Abaddon, Tararus, Hades, Hell etc.

We have some news to share for A Shot in the Dark. We're not going to make any promises or guarantees (not that we could anyways) but we may have a potential solution for the game development to make progress again. However, we really won't know with certainty until the end of the year or early next year if it will be possible. More details will be released at that point if we have the answer we're hoping for.

I'm sorry we don't have more details we can share at the moment. But, we wanted to let you know that something is potentially in the works.

Welp, Abandoned tag incoming; even if they do renew the development in late 2025 / early 2026, the break gets too long for F95.

You're talking like being marked as abandoned by F95 would prevent the devs from ever picking this up again. We'll see if development will continue at some point, it seems there may be hope. If the game has an abandoned tag by that point that has to be removed then matters absolutely zero though.
