Can anyone please explain me, how save transition happens from old version to newer version. Because when I load older save and make a new save - it still writes that game-version is old. Does it mean that I wont see new content?

Yeah I left it too. I screwed up my save by overwriting it with a choice I wanted to be able to change so I got rid of the game. Will wait for more updates now to see if some of the content gets finished.
One major problem I have with the game is how too many requirements are mixed between characters. Staring one quest but then having to stop to do someone else's and stuff like that. I also hate how developing the home is attached to Emily's quest which involves getting a majority of her quest done first. I don't doubt at some point the dev will realise the current build is a structural mess and way to linear and so will probably need a complete rebuild, or he could just think fuck it and leave it as it is. I wouldn't normally criticise so much, but the game has so much potential. It already feels like a lot of effort has been put in, it just feels like a mess at the moment is all.

I'm not 100% sure on this but I remember said Chyos said he made it where your able to do the developing of the home through penny's latest update, not sure how since I haven't had time to do a do over save.
Still tied to someone elses quest though. Either way it just makes zero sense to do so. I'm gonna leave the game for a while now as I think I've seen all there is to see baring a couple of scenes which I screwed up, but I'm gonna wait until he has tied up a lot of the loose ends and stuff. People think its a game where you can do what you want but it's really not. I think once the dev puts his thinking cap on he will probably decide to redo stuff completely or more likely will just leave as is.
The game has mass potential to not be the best adult game, but a great game to enjoy even without the adult content. Currently it feels like too much of the content is tied and mixed in within each other. I get it from one point as at the end of the day it's an adult game and the fans wanna see some hot fucking. But I think the actual quest element should be its own thing and then you have the choice to progress a relationship with characters, rather than do one thing, get a handjob scene, do another quest, get the BJ etc. If I could, I would do the quests on their own which then would create feelings from characters towards the MC and then it's down to you to decide if you want to create a relationship with them. I realise that would make a massive change but for me personally this is what wrecks a lot of the romance stuff for me.
Many years back I used to play actual video games on the consoles and stuff and used to love the RPG genre, but everyone of them was flawed when it came to character romance. Another RPG sin for me, is how it makes you leader or everything. I get it from a gameplay mechanic point of view. But I remember that Skyrim game where it would make you leader of a group after about five missions, yet had you being the one doing all the menial tasks and stuff like that. Again though, this is just a personal gripe and I get that. I also understand in terms of this game that the dev is working on his own and so a lot has to be forgiven and set aside if it doesn't match individuals taste.

I agree with you. Many of the quest are tied together and there is no way around that. You just can't play it the way you want like skipping certain chicks and selecting the one you want. Maybe Chyos will redo the stories of the characters up to a certain point. I still remember the old version when Cult Story was tied to Claire and there was no way around it do find out where Thomas is going, or like Emily, got to have sex with her to start expanding her house and having to corrupt Hiba to unlock Anal with Tia.
i would love to progress in mira story without taking her virginity, doing the church quest with her virginity maybe getting some other flavor text

Preparations for the 0.5.9.6 update
Good afternoon,
Another week almost over, so time to give you a review of what I did the past days.
First of all, I would like to comment on the results of last week's poll.
In total (Patreon & Subscribestar summed up) Helena got the majority with 216 votes. Sabrina took 2nd place with 151 votes. So Helena won and I have already started working on the scene for her and Yasmine.
Now of course I've read your comments (as always) and I know that it would be tempting to make more than just the Helena scene, sadly however that is impossible alone by the fact that I wouldn't be able to complete it before Christmas. And working on more Winterhowl scenes in January would just feel out of place. So it will only be Helena's scene this year. However since I also really want to make something for Sabrina and she went 2nd after all, I will set her scene as fixed for next year's Winterhowl (So there won't be a vote next year and I will make that scene then).
Ok, now about the past week: Since I saw the voting results in favor of Helena on monday already (By then she had such a big lead that I doubted any other option would win), I decided to directly focus on her Winterhowl scene so that it definitly would be finished in time.
I started with a new outfit for her and Yasmine which required me to make some textures for the clothes. When I was finally happy with the outfits I made new sprites/dialog images for Yasmine & Helena.
Over the course of the week, I continued working on animations and sketched out how I envisioned the course of the little quest around Helena.
To then get a better feeling for the story I wrote first dialogs and events for this quest (In the process I reworked Yasmine's old getting to know images). This isn't done yet of course, but a rough plan on how everything plays out was necessary. To save some workload I reused some of the assets I already made in past years (decoration). I'm still by far not done with editing the animations, but since I still have about a week left to get everything done I'm optimistic that it will be possible without crunch this time.
Even though I mostly worked on the Winterhowl scene this week, I also finished some images for Bianca's quest that I've been working on in the week before. I originally thought about adding one of these images to this post, that would give you a hint about how Bianca's quest would continue, but in the end I decided against it, as it would have been too much of a spoiler.
The reason I've prioritized working on the Winterhowl scene is obvious: I want to finish it in time, and if I still have time at the end, I can of course work on Bianca's quest, but that's a bonus and isn't the main focus of the 0.5.9.6 update.
So now I'm trying to finish the Winterhowl scene as early as next Friday if possible, in the worst case on the 24th. There are still a few hours left today and I intend to use them for some more image editing.

Indeed. But as I said, I put a lot of it down to it being a one man team or a very small team at most. When you're only going off your own input and then releasing it to the public, thats when you will start to get the 'why the hell is this tied to this or that?' comments. If I had any developer knowledge for this type of game where it's not purely about sex but an actual story/stories, then I would work towards getting the quests done and then once you have done all you can to help a character, thats when you can choose if you want a relationship with them.
But the MC house should have been the first thing you can do. Get tips of crafting from the smith and the furniture maker, then go about building your house. Then from there you work on individual character requests and then finally the romance stuff. For those that want the instant fuck stuff, just throw in a few prostitutes or something similar who aren't tied to quests and just throw in some sex scenes.
Guys im clicking all over the goblin caves to try and find were they are hiding, anyone got a screenshot of were they are hiding? Snikka ran off tried following her looked around that area no luck so far, am I one pixel away or something?
The goblin hideout will be added in 6.0.0 version, for now you have to wait until she spawns back in the same area to complete the task

basically, I guess you're asking for "sandbox", but this is a rpg. I don't believe it's supposed to be a sandbox.

That's what I was thinking about, why is it not a part of her story too? Mira keeps her Virginity while still chasing and wanting to start a relationship with her. Like getting caught by her from spying on her in the Monastery a few times and she gives in like Liandra back at Giron's Mansion and start doing anal like Heather or something sort of like that.

Build a Second Floor in your house then talk to Roderic. But you must first complete Emily's Quest to be able to build your house.
Is the dev planning any more Emily content? I feel like we haven't had any new Emily content for the past 2 years
