hi, could someone please tell me where to find leather straps? i somehow got 4 but no idea where i got them.

Rogues have a low chance to drop them and the brigands during the wood dungeon in the Raven’s questline also drop them

Straps are mainly obtained by opening the Rogue's pouches. Problem is, the game doesn't notify you how many of them you've gotten. You must check the inventory to make sure the amount of Straps acquired is satisfactory. If not, savescum and try again.
Maybe this issue is fixed in the newest version, but I can't confirm.

Nah new updates come always in less than a month, but the full 2 updates in one month are a far cry now.
After Chyos got covid he messed up his schedule and still didn’t fix it, since he sometimes he keeps derailing or adding new things.
For example Lyvia’s update should have ended in 2 updates, instead he went with two and a final third one which added more content, and also he didn’t want to finish it on a cliffhanger.
But you get my point.
For this issue dunno, the rate of the item drops and other gameplay things are going to be reworked in that famous update.
What happened to the last game?
Got kidnapped again by evil Dasan?

Some take more months, you should know it, like big updates such as Anya, some others take a small chunk of its time
Talk to Mayor Giron and you should have the option to change it.

Clay is very annoying to farm, especially if you didn't collect any before the time where you really need it.
Do you got perception at 1?
Since with zero perception no clay shall appear, normally explore all riverbeds (Of all places) and even the swamp which has lots of spots.
i have lvl 1 perception and i didnt really go away much, just hanging around town; i wanted to finish emily story first, but then clay situation happened;
i dont even know how to farm it. Should i repeatedly visit the same spot where i got one clay? Or is it just predetermined one clay here and no more, and need to go find other spots?

Don’t know if putting more perception points makes those appear more, probably I guess.
Clay spots reset after a couple of days, so no, just check all rivers again and especially the swamp.
Can’t help you on the editing of saves since I don’t know how and I know they can fuck up your saves if not careful.
