Hey, i know that items have different maximal amount of augment slots. Most items can have 0-2 augments, but some can have 3 or even 4 (for example leather belt or old buckler*).
View attachment 2211411
I'm saying this, because i tried to maximize slots in Aronax armor by reloading fight with Krampus, but i can't get more than 2 slots. Can anyone confirm that it is possible to get 3 or 4 in that armor?
If it has standard max of 2 slots (and i think that's the case), it isn't so OP. It is very good armor, but rogue armor is very comparable (and i would argue it's even better) - because it gives bonus agility and luck which is pretty unique, but 1 less point of defense and 3 less points of magical defense.

*And now about old buckler - thanks to 4 possible slots for augments it simply outclass new shields, which cannot have augments at all (maybe it's a bug?). Old buckler with 4 iron plates gives 12 defense! For comparison round shield gives 6 def and heather shield gives 8, but has bigger agility penalty. And who knows if we don't get better plates or other types of augments in the future - that's why upgrade slots are so important.

There is ofc another cool piece of equipment from the latest update - Blacktooth (Greymount's sword), which is currently best sword in the game. But i think it has one potential weakness - it probably isn't silver (like for example shadowstone weapons), so enemies with magical immunity might be invulnerable for this weapon (ofc you can always use bloodpoison in that case). Has someone tested this and can confirm?

Anyway, it's a shame that there aren't any possible upgrades for weapons atm - but i advise to maximize potential slots nonetheless.

I know that equipment isn't the most important thing in this game, but i really like what is implemented so far and potential with all these options for the future. That's all. ;)
Sorry had a few beers, replied to the wrong post. :ROFLMAO: Just look above.....And enjoy!

Damn it, Damn it, Damn it! I do enjoy this game, but there is a real problem. Let me tell you where I am. I need horse hair for the violin. Well, I own a horse, because I bought it from Orphillia. However, I am supposed to get the horse hair from the horse when it is still with her. Even though I own the damn horse, I can't get the hair. Now I have to try and restart hours and hours of gameplay to try and finish a quest. Make your f-ing walkthrough in f-ing chronological order. Scrolling up and down 83 pages is the stupidest way to play this damn game. It slows everything down. I'm done, I can't deal with this anymore. I have to restart from the beginning and I'm not doing it. I have been juggling 5 different saves to make sure I could recover what I messed up, but buying the horse is too far back. I will come back to this game and start again from the beginning when you have a sensical, logical walkthrough. Until then F this game.

Did you try going to the barn? iirc, the horse is in the barn after you bought it from Ophelia and you can get the hair there.

Really? Do you think I didn't try that? That was the first thing I did. The horse is behind the fence and I can't interact with it.

I guess you really are fucked.
I just reload one of my saves, tried stand in front of the horse and press space and can interact with it.

Dave? they told me that I should check the walkthrough

Why is the quest for a new house still active even though I completed it?
Just because. I guess the Author will add some more in the future.

What dikau just said. Now, just ask yourself: did I edit my saves? did I randomly and improperly use the cheatbook? did I mod the game? am I playing the compressed version?

If any answer is yes, well... you asked for it.

The answer is no, dikau pointed out that he used the space bar. I use the walkthrough, not the cheatbook. Nice of you to make the wrong assumption. Why did you even chime in? The walkthrough is a hot mess of random order of operation.

I never used the walkthrough except 2 times, basing your entire review on how you can’t use it, or how it’s organically essential for the playthrough, it’s so hilarious to be honest.
I never had problems with the horsehair, both when I didn’t own it and when I did own it.
Just git good and don’t depend always, like you were on life support, on the walkthrough

Well, there are things that you can miss. This playthrough, I already know that I missed one scene. The only way for me to see that scene is to restart the game. You can play through as you like, but if you don't want to miss anything then a walkthrough is important. If you take one storyline to far you can't go back and fix it unless you want to replay hours of content. Some aspects have time limits and if you didn't do another quest beforehand you could end up missing out. The problem with the horsehair was I kept clicking on the horse behind the fence instead of the area in front of the fence. A little stupid of me, but the walkthrough only says anything about when orphilia has the horse. A walkthrough should be broken down in order of operation. Everyone is different, I like using a walkthrough for these games. I don't want to miss out on a story because the order isn't clear.

I do understand this aspect, and talking like this with a more diplomatic approach makes comprehend more your problem.
And while yes I will agree that the walkthrough isn’t perfect and everyone is different, a blind playthrough is still an experience that pretends you to explore, find variables and unlock secrets.
Even in the best games that I have played I missed something truly worthnorthy or an item that fucked up the ending or experience.
Let’s take for example Suikoden 2, masterpiece of a game, but so many scenes, characters and endings can be missed if you are not careful or check for everything, but still it’s expected that you are not omniscient and a replay of the game is expected.
Asws is kinda like this, even with its flaws it has many variables that can chosen and other ignored and it is kinda expected to be replayed with a new set of eyes, when you replay this game you will actually notice details in the gameplay and even in the story that you probably missed or ignored at first.
At least it’s not like those games where a walkthrough is needed for everything and it’s fucking linear in every step (my lawyer says I can’t mention the game but it starts with an S).

Whatever I wanted to make it as a surprise, but I am telling, I have been working on a wiki both to help beginners and experts and also to organize Informations, lore, characters, enemies you know the usual.
But sadly the fucking site is down and it had issues et cetera, currently waiting to get it back

You know this conversation is just going to go around in circles. I would like to play the game the way I like to play it. Also, a walkthrough should be linear... that's the point of a walkthrough. It helps you get from point A to point B, not H to D. The final boss shouldn't be on the first page. The game itself is good. I never said it was a bad game. You can play it the way you like. If a strategy guide was printed in the way this walkthrough is printed, the writer would have been fired and refunds and lawsuits would have happened. This game is time-consuming. I don't want to restart it every time.

You have to cut the hair from Ophilia's new horse when she is in the tavern

Lol, A little late on the reply. Just so everyone knows. You can cut the horse hair in the barn as well. Click the area in front of the fence in the barn and not the horse itself, or walk up near the horse and click enter or space. I kinda learned that the hard way and got very frustrated thinking I was stuck... haha stupid me... This is only if you already bought the horse from Ophilia.

The walkthrough is categorized by the characters, not what you should do first to last. If you start a mission related to Frisha, then look up Frisha's part. If you want a detailed on how to explore the mansion thoroughly, then look up the mansion part. If you actually bother to read it properly, each part is basically "point A to point B" 101.

The walkthrough even has a hyperlink on the sidebar, so you don't need to scroll endlessly to read what you want.

>The final boss shouldn't be on the first page
If you wanna shitpost, at least be smart about it.
