John would be able to be the character you want if he was forced by external forces. Nothing in his character points to him being open to lusting after Melissa. His protective nature could have been shown to be twisted in that way, but it was not. He is one of the few characters in ASWS that is truly lawful good.

Just look at how he treats the MC when he asks him to dupe Thomas' key.

Him getting corrupted would need to be very excessive, because it would require him to make a complete 180 as an individual. It would have to be something like possession, because if anything of John remains, he wouldn't be the character you want him to be. It can be done. But it won't be anything like him succumbing to Melissa coming onto him. No matter how hard she tries.

After ASWS, Peasant's Quest is my second favorite H-game in development, in it you have a daughter with a succubus. Then you fuck your daughter who gives birth to a familiar that helps you in battles. Of course you fuck your familiar, (granddaughter) who also gives birth to little imps.

I offer this not only to show that I am not taking issue because father / daughter, in PQ this narrative follows a logic. A logic not present in your story of John.

I personally rank PQ higher than ASWS, and I concur with your assessment of PQ's MC. That said, you could not say that ASWS' MC would not fuck his lab grown daughter if he had the opportunity to do so (which could be a thing with the goblin, Gwen or Athia's storyline). They both have very loose morals when it comes to incest (at least when I play them)

John is another story entirely.

Should I leave 1 goblin camp alone so I can farm them later, or there is no point?

Both are written pretty well, in that they have little to no character. So whoever you want them to be can easily projected onto the framework.

I started playing it again with 0.6.1.1b version. A bug in Katherine's text about Tia. I thought i report it here to be fixed. Unsure how else to report it for future fixing.

If it bothers you(it did bother me), you can replace the CommonEvents.json in www\data with this one(unzip it first). Just make a back up of the json beforehand. While all I did is add and remove backslashes, I have no idea if it fucks anything up in the long run. Short term however:

They are both shown as fairly lustful and corrupt humans, which kind of hints the player to go in that direction.

The ones on the first floor eventually disappear as you find Ugotha's camp. But up until that point they respawn.

After you have finished Ugotha's current content, the goblins in the deep mine ignore you, but you can always provoke them. Ironic that we were just talking about PQ, since you can do the same there.

Typo or not, I had my game crash when figuring out what backslashes to change. The n[16] refused to change into Tia for some reason.

None of that addressed John's motivation to completely change every piece of dialogue of his that is currently in the game. Not a bit.

- What is the Pater hiding? What dialogue tells you he is lawful good? There isn't enough Pater there for a basis to judge whether or not he would fuck his daughter. Natasha walking into Pater's room is completely different then John contradicting everything in the game he has every said about Melissa. I wouldn't even say it was out of character for John to smash if Natasha walked into his room.

Corruption means corruption, she doesnt need to influence his motivation, she would only need to present herself to him due to the effects of her own corruption.

Literally ALL of his dialogue is nothing but him being the pious man he claims to be, IN FACT Giron comes to him about polygamy and he outright refuses Girons request until Giron threatens him. Meanwhile his sex dialogue with a CORRUPTED NATASHA, has him saying he only took her in because he wanted to groom her and fuck her one day.

You need to stop spouting off like you know whats going to happen, at this point you are just rabidly posting to anyone and everyone in a desperate attempt to seem knowledgeable when you have 0 clue because this isnt your game and you arent developing anything about it.

When someone shares that they don't like a character or fetish you always try to conflate it with an insult towards those who do.
If someone dares to criticize the game, an aspect of it or the orientation of the development choices you will write an essay on how they are attacking Chyos.
Just20 pointed out that a branch quest to infiltrate kirlic stays active despite them having no intentions on following through it and you derailed the discussion into the game having NTR. When I pointed out that netorase was introduced a couple of years into the development and that it doesn't mirror the sentiment of the dev, evident by the warning wording that remains unchanged from said time, you ignored it and doubled down on how the ability to turn ntr off is not meant to turn the game easy despite no one defending that argument.
So yes, forgive me for running away like a mouse after losing interest in a discussion with someone who refuses to do any kind of self reflection.

Tiny bit of housekeeping. That was why he left the switch on, as a stressor not to fail. Not to have the choice in future scenes, but as an external force of pressure not to screw up. My argument was that the netorase was forced because the choice to see those scenes was left on. After actually seeing the scene, he deleted the convo, so I can't quote. But that literally was his argument for why the switch was on, he wanted the switch to serve as punishment for screwing up, and he hadn't screwed up.

Regarding defending Chyos, when someone says "At the rate he's going, he might finish it by 2050", it is an attack on Chyos. It's not wrong of me to see that. I didn't write an essay just "What have you ever created? 2050 beats your never."

It's possible there might be an optional patch but it would still need to be a content update, so I doubt it.

Depending on the route, she might even have been kidnapped and will need to be rescued. Her storyline will revolve around the brothel in Kirlic."

The only remotely close thing to JohnxMelissa that exists was a winterhowl option (that also didn't get picked) that was "Melissa: John never gave Winterhowl too much attention, now Melissa wants to change that. The MC will come over to celebrate with them and have some fun with Melissa afterwards when John is already drunk and asleep, but is he really not noticing what's going on?" which has absolutely no indication that John is getting involved other than possible watching.

Patreon doesnt matter. Literally no developer cares what Patreon has to say, thats just something people say out of habit. Patreon doesnt have some guy in a broom closet downloading porn games and checking them for incest, loli, shota, gore, etc. Patreon ONLY acts on something if its mass flagged and reported. its 2025 and people are still acting like Patreon is this big bad boogeyman thats going to shutdown a creator for even thinking about having incest in their game when in reality Patreon doesnt give 2 flying fucks about it unless its brought to their attention and jammed in their face.

Also if you want to be technical John and Melissa arent even related, secondly its a porn game who cares about chemistry we literally have goblins fucking dwarves, half-orcs and humans, and I could give you more than Kate/Claire and Emily/Frisha/Mira examples of incest but again that doesnt matter because at the end of the day its a porn game by the end of it everyone is going to be getting fucked by someone.
