RPGM A Struggle with Sin [v0.6.1.6] [Chyos]

I offered a perspective from my POV, my life experience.
What I pointed out are things that could be improved. I didn't demand anything.
There are always ways to further improve things. At the current development pace Chyos also won't be able to really attract more supporters and earn much more.
It will always be a balance act. A faster pace will attract more paying supporters.
Quite some people lose interest when the time span between updates exceeds one to two months.
But Chyos alone can't churn out more quality updates on his own.

It's the same with our customers. They also expect reasonable progress within a given time in the projects we manage for them. If we don't deliver they will get annoyed and pay less over time. At some point we might even lose them. That is called life. Don't pretend like life doesn't happen here in this forum, too, and also to developers like Chyos - as good as they are.

If Chyos is contend with the current situation - fine, good for him. I really hope for him that it lasts as long as possible.
But in my experience being too contend with the existing situations often are the first signs of a beginning decline.

Then at least answer the question. How are you paying for the employees you believe should be hired?

By taking less for myself for some time, building up some reserves and then hiring someone and seeing how it goes. That is doable with 84,000 $ anually, even more so if I'm living in a country where 84,000 $ have more buying value than in the USA.
And by talking about those plans with my supporters to see if they are willing to get more invested.
Depending on the situation looking out for an investor might also be a viable option.

If that were even remotely true, there would be no suffering in the world. (It's always the exploiters that say it, never the exploited.)

Say he puts 25% of subscription income into savings for a year, he has now saved up 21k. Worth noting that the cost of living in Germany is higher than it is in the US.

(Emails saying "good evening" hit my PST mail box around 7:30 am. When save editing you will often find German phrases used.)

That means for an entire year the development slows because of the stress of making 25% less that year, means more energy towards making ends meet.

And he now has 35 weeks of paying an employee $20 an hour. And literally saved none of his income for his own savings, despite having taken a 25% cut to his income.

Getting inside a developers mind and working symbiotically with them to finish a project is highly unique, highly skilled labor. You don't get that at $20 an hour.

None the less saving for a full year means slowing down the development just to be able to afford an unskilled worker for half of one.

Chyos isn't a venture capitalist, looking for investors means less time to develop. Which also means the quality of the product goes down because time spent on making an employee viable mean less time on developing ASWS.

Your arrogance to assume that you have a better understanding of what Chyos should be doing is mind blowing. You have literally no idea how much he has tried to find investors, you have no idea how much he has considered hiring an employee. Yet you assume that you could do better. That Chyos's inability to be more like you is a skills issue. I really don't see how you can't see your arrogance here.

I am not telling you how you should live your life or do your job, other than telling you that you shouldn't tell others how to live and work. You literally are saying that you think it is likely Chyos will fail at his career unless he takes your advice. You have never even talked to the man about any of this, yet you assume you know it better. That is pure arrogance.

Which I find to be a rude af statement to make there is literally no signs that any of this is going to happen. Developing this game is Chyos's job. He isn't going to be able to retire in two years time, so he will still need to work at that point. So the wild accusations that Chyos might abandon the project are just ridiculous.

It's not major proof of anything, but it took this forum 2.5 years to get it's first 500 pages, it got it's last 100 in two months. Personally my annual subscription runs out at the end of this month. I plan on doubling it up, going from the lower tier (villager) to the higher (mayor) one.

Hey guys, I found a bug: if you give Imawyn her new armor before giving her the horse hair for her violin, the option to give her the horse hair never shows up.... so I'm kinda screwed now. Does anyone savvy know if theres a variable that I can change in savedit to get around this?

You can't talk to her about the party?

When you give her the hair, it isn't "here is the hair."

It's you picking the "ask her about the party" or whatever it is with party in the phrase. When you pick it, she asked about the hair, then you give it to her.

If that doesn't work, what are your options to talk to her about during the day (9:00 am ish to 4:00 pm, when she is by the fire outside of the tent) and what does she say.

I have some guesses about some edits that might work, but I would rather exhaust all in game solutions before resorting to possible breaking the save.

There is no other option to ask about party.

At this point, my save may as well already be broken, without the parties my mercs are leaving....

Nope, cannot throw parties "the preparations are not done yet!", and I placed the bottles a long time ago.

Ok, warning, your Mercs are ready to leave en masse, so you might want to edit in some morale (advance variables, #1037, yours is currently at 11%) to tide you over until you can do the things you need to do, which there are quite a lot of. Two days after this save there weren't enough mercs to man Arenfield.

But the good news is that to get to this screenshot:



I didn't have to edit any switches or variables, I did remove one inventory item.

First I noticed that Liandra didn't have the soap, nor was she in the new dress. You can't have a party until she has a new dress, you can't give her the new dress until you have given her the erotic book, you can't give her the erotic book until you have given her the soap. So that is a barrier you have before you can have a party.

After I did all that, and still couldn't throw a party. I wondered about the "get" a horsehair, so I removed the horsehair from your inventory by editing it out. (Inventory item #162).

Then I took a new hair from Ophilia's horses mane, from there I was able to ask Imawyn about the party the next day and give her the hair. Then I started a party.

So yeah, your game didn't recognize that you had gotten a hair from her horse, but by removing it from your inventory I was able to get it to register.

People didn't respond to you when you asked earlier today because you can't. Nothing you can do effects the MC's fertility. (Yes, many of us have superstitions about it, but no real evidence.) You definitely can not make pregnancy inevitable.

Just a little curiosity. Does anyone know if Chyos ever mentioned vampires? We have werewolves. But I haven't heard of any vampire-like beings. Do you think they'll be included sooner or later?

You also missed Melissa's Quest, Guards that are inside the cave under some mind control and MC killing them is a way to free them and the Chalice consequences if MC drinks it.

Also when you complete Melissa quest find 4 pice of tresure map and enter to The Sanctuary you Encounter some cursed people who are looking exactly like Carmen Son ,
My question is Sanctuary people become like That Because They Drink Form The Chalice But i Distroy it ,Is There another item that make people cursed (Chalice is not only one item and some one got it already)
