I read in a message from L&P that it takes 1-3 minutes for one rendering... Is it really ONLY 1-3 minutes for one rendering? Or I misunderstand?

No I think the up scaling he refers to is image resampling in photoshop.
720p is the same proportions as 1080 and the images from 720 originals can be upscaled in photoshop using a higher resolution (300dpi) and saved as JPG... I think this is being referred to. The renders will still be done at 720 resolution.

It takes 1-3 minutes to upscale an image from 720 to 1080p, not to do a render. Completely different process and program.
