I have to agree with you that 1/4 day releases is a bad idea

It could work, but then you will have the big event like Sam's concert that could mess everything upevery 2 months a new update could work.

L&P already said if you have a big event it will take longer. So yes, it will mess everything up at that point. Also; he said that it could be a monthly release if he chooses to break release down to the time of day events which I would say "could and monthly" shouldn't be in L&P Vocabulary because it would most likely go beyond a month.
We already know he would start adding scenes, and we would probably end up with "9000" renders for a morning event.

That's if he can get back to that time frame. I know Back reference a person like an editor to help edit his work, but right now he choosing to be a one-man army. I just hope he doesn't crack under pressure.

At this point with the support he's receiving to stay true to his work, I have a good idea that he is going to consider going to 1/4 days now and everything else may stay the same. But as I said before, I really want to read his response to his members.
I see some people saying that he should cut some character or event to move the plot forward but the thing is that there’s no plot really. It can be summarized as this : -Sophia ( the MC ) and her family have arrived to a new city and have started a new life. She will interact , or not, with different people. And that’s it . Sophia is a passive character who simply react to other character. There’s no mandatory event or characters besides Sophia. Something like the Liam’s debt at the casino that should be a game changing event but it’s completely avoidable. The incest side of things ( Dylan and Ellie) might be the most popular but it’s not mandatory. I don’t know the pourcentage of patreons who just play incest vs all other patreons but if L&p start cutting characters, some of them might not like it. When Bennet was introduced, some people here started being vocal with their disappointment because it was another blackmail route. L&p made a pole to let his patreons choose if he should cut Bennet out of the story. They choose to keep him. For me I just hope that Morello will be the last one that he’ll introduce . I’m interested in all the characters that interact with Sophia but I think that we have more than enough now.

I am afraid that he can even go to 1/6 release.
Take day 11 for example-we have 5 events each around 100 renders in first half+some other small.So easy to split on 2
In second half we have 2 giant events+one for Alyssa that will be bigger than any of the events in first half+ some other smaller events-That sounds like split on 3 or 4.
Day 11 definitely will be the day that will take the longest time to make.Probably close to 8 months.
Actually the incest is almost mandatory.If you want to have some game to play.If you exclude the incest you are missing more than 50% of the game.Maybe more because some other characters are chained to content with the family members.
1 whole day updates are even worst idea than 1/4.In that case we will have years with only 1 update for the whole year.Because last updates are taking really long time.
Day 9 takes more than 150 days,day 10 more than 200 days,day 11 will be even more.

I don't get the 1/4 days change. He should focus on delivering content faster, not splicing updates even more. If he releases 1 whole day of content in 3-4 months without cutting characters and events, I doubt there will be much complaining. And I think it's possible as long as he's not stuffing the game with filler content. I still have nightmares about the guitar lesson at the beginning.
He just needs to cut renders now, update-per-event and release a version at the end of each game day that adds more renders if he and his patrons (which I'll be included in if he goes through with this schedule) feel like it.
Tbh he would be better off in just making a mini-game inside the vn (like finding a card or some special see-through glasses, anything) and an extra 5 renders per scene, that way people won't also just skip the story and the whole dialog isn't in vain.

The 1/4 day is not official yet. He just dropping a couple of hints or maybe putting a feeler out there with his members to see how they are reacting to it. Right now, He can't put 1 gameday out there in 3-4 months because his creating "It's over 9000" renders for certain scenes to make it rich and authentic as he would put it. This is the underlining issue, plus he doing it all by himself and why he averages out 1 gameday every six months.
If he chooses to do the 1/4 days, then I guess he feels this will balance out with quicker release without sacrificing CS, Rendering, Story Plots, Etc. The problem with this is you get maybe 30 secs of gameplay if you don't auto skip the scenes.

We are at 65 percent CS and 60 percent rendering. After he completes those tasks, then he'll have to edit his scenes to his liking and code. If I had to guess, maybe at the end of this month or the beginning of next.Will this be the month we get a new update

It's a money matter. he refuses to give a penny to others. But he'll tell you he's a perfectionist and he can't trust people.
Tryna be optimistic I'm ready to see Sophia get the pipe by someone other than her husband!
