i dont understand why every single developer has to disappoint. Not once did i witness a dev go "hey guys, i got a surprise for you, I want to treat my supporters, and after I did some extra shifts, i added some extra scenes, and i finished the whole update weeks earlier than it was announced! have fun"
but nooo. 99% devs just push the release date further and further into the future or they just disappear entirely.
only NLT and DarkCookie are the ones who deliver on schedule and both set their bar so fucking low that it's a joke itself that they need 2 months for their updates

You can if you get busy with something and keep yourself occupied. Stay away from the computer or internet access and it won't feel like you are waiting. And don't think about the game every few minutes or hours. I'm saying based on experience
Genuine advice and I'll add by saying something that helps is...not giving a shit. Truly. When I realized that this title will NEVER be done at the pace this dev demands out of his "playable day" plan of showing every hour of her and her kids lives, it became clear that it would need 40 actual years to ever be finished. By genuinely not caring they just happen one day. No waiting for a hero. No daily watching some milking dev change his progress page by 0-1%. One day a new one drops and I get to see how mad people get, lol.
So if any of you still like it and don't care that this will never be finished, just stop checking on it every day. Truly. Stop. Walk away. A month will go by...and then two...and before you check back in it's halfway done...and then you walk away again and live your actual life...and you either stop caring entirely or an update is out right before you stop caring. Then you can spank it again to blueball BS and repeat.
It's a win-win.
