To be honest, I don't think there will be a new release anytime soon. I believe that the next update will be the most delayed update so far! The reason for that is because he is trying something new and I am almost sure that he will fail of it.

If it's going to be animations for AWAM I'd be interested in hearing why people think they add to the story & what exactly it is they add that couldn't be envisaged in the imagination. I'm talking specifically about erotic & porn games, not fantasy or tech wars. Across F95 complaints about lack of animations, or those judged to be of poor quality are heard. Surely we have the "motion pictures" & "talkies" for that kind of entertainment & we've had moving pictures since the '80s, the 1880s that is.

Many animations consist of BJs, (or trying to swallow a log & nearly choking, as it's often portrayed) & the usual bump & grind. See one or two & you've seen them all. They're sometimes extremely clever but they're not in the same league as an actual film. What are they really for in a game which is more of a VN? Are they meant to be fap material? Aren't they just nice to have for those who like them but not exactly essential?

Before anybody comments on the lines of 'it's L&P's game & he does what he does OK?', let's just take the above as genuine questions & also take it as read that I know whose game it is. I am really wanting to hear thoughts on this & not necessarily in the "animations will be awesome," category but why someone might think they'd be awesome.

I agree with your sentiment. Remember your supposition that many of his patrons are ... younger... ergo the animations become 'mandatory'. Just my thought. He is also 33/34 (Told me he was 33 last April) so definitely younger than you or me. This could easily be something he has wanted to do (he may see it as an artistic challenge) or to answer the requests he is getting from his paying audience.

If you think they are fantasy like sure. I am not going to convince you to anything contrary. I didn't think they were totally unrealistic. Except for the 2nd side job which was poorly executed nothing else really bothered me.
Those environments that you consider useless, makes everything far more engaging for me.

I am confident of the fact that without the kind of setup including the lighting that he put together, there is no way the Nathalie event from the last update would look as fantastic and be as erotic as it was, neither would the Art class event be how good it is.

The things that most people here ask him not to focus on are mostly the things that actually differentiate this game from the rest and make it as good as it is. On another note-nobody is asking him to make uglier game.But he should stop somewhere.We don't need next Crysis game that will be in development for 20+ years.Not to mention after 10 years what is now looking stunning will be average at best.
Just look at first week of the game and especially first 4 days-the renders are like from another game.Of course they don't look the part-after all they are from 4 years ago.

Which means he has improved his quality with time. He is still top of the table when it comes to good renders. He is still trying to improve the render quality. Seeing this even 10yrs down the road, if this game is still being made ) this games artistic quality can be at the top.
This is not a dev who is satisfied with his quality and is just sitting and making renders, as long as he keeps trying to keep up with the trends and latest developments in the rendering field, his renders will never be outdated.

Explain more clearly what you mean, then such misunderstandings will not happen. And to explain my point more precisely, I have no problem with incest in games. But I avoid games where the developer gives me no other way to progress in a game than with magic, hypnosis, sleeping pills or the like. That's rape for me - and thus the limits I don't cross - even in a game. And if someone mentions something like that in his post, then I point it out!

Sex with stranger is unrealistic only for NOW, because Sophia's character has not been developed to the point where she would have sex with a stranger. She is moving in that direction. Remember Tyler was a complete stranger for her until she saw him at the club. He did get some moves in. That was Day 16.
Similarly for incest. With proper development it can all happen.

Game seems interesting, I took a peek at the walkthrough and would definitely go for the filthy route all the way. However the game doesn't want to start, tried several times to click on the exe file and nothing happens, and then went to the command prompt and launched both the normal exe and the 32bit exe, neither gives anything but a single empty line and then goes back to the prompt. Not even a log file has appeared in the folder through all this. I'm running a 64bit windows 10 setup, more or less as it came out of the package. Launching python in the command prompt gives me python 3.9.9. Every other VN game I've tried has worked without problems. Any ideas about what to try here?

Edit: It worked after changing to a different unrar program and unpacking the archive with it.

The problem is that the dev don't treat the incest routes the same way.
Elly,for example, is now way ahead any other female characters.Only Nathalie after last update menage to catch her a little.And to some extent Julia.But all others are way,way behind and they are not related either.
Dylan on the other hand is way behind Sam and Aiden.Some will say even behind the apostles.And Larry for one scene only get almost anyhting Dylan got so far,except "feeling the fabric".
Don't forget that the major point behind the slow progress was the incest.Well in Elly's case I don't see any barrier.Au contraire despite the incest factor she is in the lead.
