Realism was an avowed aim of AWAM from day 1 & there was absolutely no need whatsoever to dilute the level that was achieved in the early days. Attempting a sense of realism was one of the aspects of L&P's production that made it a cut above the average. This veneer of realism was not that of a soap opera, or in the "kitchen sink drama" style but was rather along the lines of the 'realistic' weathering on vehicles in Star Wars films, where strange fictional stuff might be happening on distant worlds but at least it looks believable. That's not boring IMO. What is excruciatingly boring is the endless parade of nymphos, bimbos, simple one-track minded horny sons lusting after their own mothers, the beach-ball smuggling "Moms" themselves, racial stereotypes, e.g. how many more BBCs?, hideously bad bosses, horse-cocks & 'inner thoughts' along the lines of, "why does this feel so good, when I know it's so wrong?" There are many more choice standard "items" but suffice to say, no wonder I've deleted all but 2 or 3 3D porn games.

3D Porn today has descended into an unimaginative abyss where characters have become stereotyped & exaggerated. They even tend to follow certain repetitive patterns of behaviour, so much so that some could be interchangeable between games, without any appreciable hiccup. Sadly, by now, it seems this is what 'the public' expects & on occasion, even demands, because it's familiar & probably comforting in some odd way. I would contend that there are many members of 'the public' who do not require these things. There are others amongst 'the public', like me, who would count it fortunate if they never saw any more. Repetitiveness was another good reason to delete numerous games. It's all about consumer, (even pirate consumer) choice.

AWAM arrived in this melee like an innovative example of "The New." It began to show what could be achieved in the 3D porn genre, if a Dev was prepared to raise his game. Quality of renders was outstanding & the writing ranged between acceptable & good. Even stock 3D porn characters were made more interesting & engaging. Patricia was/is a case in point, being more than just another 'too sexy' Aunt figure but someone with her own personality & back-story. This approach was apparent for most of the main actors. People cared about the characters & their stories/routes. Fans became involved with the VN. Indeed, 'the future looked bright, the future looked AWAM.'

So, what the hell happened? We all think we know. What I think I know would take another too long post & would be a marginally bigger waste of time than my above comments.

Whether the game will become more realistic is impossible to say at this stage of development, because virtually nothing of the story has really been told yet. The events in which the story has gone a little further have often contained nonsensical behaviour or complete illogic elements. Take the whole story line around Aiden as an example. All his events are so twisted and implausible that I really wonder why some people here still pretend that L&P is particularly gifted when it comes to realism. Other story elements, such as the sex-ed with the children, the train mugging and the mafia boss who sends the MC to jail to show her boobs, etc. are just as unrealistic as in other games.

The events in which the story has gone a little further have often contained nonsensical behaviour or complete illogic elements. Take the whole story line around Aiden as an example. All his events are so twisted and implausible that I really wonder why some people here still pretend that L&P is particularly gifted when it comes to realism. Other story elements, such as the sex-ed with the children, the train mugging and the mafia boss who sends the MC to jail to show her boobs, etc. are just as unrealistic as in other games.

It was easier, IMO, to introduce rank upon rank of new characters, 2 side jobs & duplicate storylines, than to write a consistent & timely erotic narrative, which I know from experience is not as easy as it looks. There's always the received wisdom that the Dev wanted to include as many kinks as possible & that has been used to justify the ironic situation of fans with POVs like mine having to watch the actual corruption in real time, (a very, very long, slow real time), of a fictional corruption game.

Re-reading my previous post it's apparent that these days even I'm losing sight of the fact that this wasn't meant to be straightforward porn but genuine eroticism. Hence the now infamous "slow-burn." Ordinary porn holds no charms for me because I've been there, done that & damn near worn out the T-shirt. It's usually badly written & boring & in the case of the UK downright comedic but not actually funny. Erotic stories, on the other hand, can be inventive, are often very well written & take the reader on a journey where all kinds of things are possible & can be made to seem plausible. Some folks might think it's the best kind of escapism.

IMO, AWAM was definitely a well-crafted erotic tale when it started out & I can only speculate as to why this standard & yes, 'realism', wasn't maintained. There was a time when it looked, IMO, as though AWAM could become the great erotic 3D rendered story of the first quarter of the century. At last the resources available to the creators in 3D were being put to the best kind of use. This gradually ceased to be the case & though I can only speculate about the reasons, I believe I can make some pretty accurate educated guesses, all of which would go down like a lead balloon with many fans, whether true or not.

As for the specifics, I've commented several times on my belief that the 2 side jobs need to go, that duplicate storylines could be shut down, some characters written out, etc. Any & all suggestions from a pirate are "guaranteed", as in guaranteed to be totally ignored. When it comes to Aiden, I have defended this route until I'm blue in the balls & won't repeat myself. Suffice to say, however, that I was a proponent of Bennett as being the right pantomime villain people could love to hate. Frankly, I prefer Sophia dealing with & interacting with, other adults. It turned out that Mr. Bennett was so grossly unpopular, especially with those who didn't want their 'goddess' sullied by any 'nasty' man, (& this in an incest-ridden corruption story FFS), that his being written out was telegraphed by the Dev years before it was due to happen. Now to the present, Aiden & blackmail haters can be free of what they don't like, (unlike incest ignorers) but I don't really expect him back at all. Five years is a very long time in the gaming world & AFAIC, he's gone.

So, AWAM has become yet another porn game & is aiming for 2 records, i.e. longest lasting & slowest in continuous development but what about the realism?

I agree with the "too early" statement. Many fans at the time, were not ready for blackmail of any kind. (Despite this element being present in most corruption games). Sophia was (& by some still is), considered an inviolable figure on a pedestal. Bennett could have provided a more sophisticated approach to the whole blackmail route, if he'd been given a chance. Elaborate scenarios, like task 3, most excellent as it was, would not necessarily have been required. Fans disgusted by the groping at gang HQ would never have needed to see it. There are still fans who play a corruption game but don't want too much corruption, or only want it to correlate precisely with their own kinks. I understand this POV but I don't empathise. I've assumed that they must have influenced L&P.

So, Bennett is a sleaze-ball & that's the point but had the episode been written as you suggest, he would have been a clever, devious, thinking, plotting sleaze-ball, instead of just an obvious, big-headed, entitled prick.

So much of AWAM could do with an overhaul but it's just been allowed to spiral into something resembling a plate of spaghetti & we all know it's true potential will never be realised. We need something similar to AWAM but with less complexity & timely, regular updates. I'll try to remember this next time I'm at a wishing well.

It was more than two years ago.While was the last scene with Ellie. And probably it will be 3 years when we get the Ellie update.

Seriously I love this game and I respect the creator but honestly.. Adding Dylan as a second MC so he will have much content is a joke to Ellie's fans. I know that he won but just because he was 50 points more than Ellie so she deserves to be separated on minimum or added to him and his story like a toy who can fuck?
