The actual progression discussion for this game has always fascinated me. As an aspiring developer, I chose to take my game in a similar route to this developer, electing to do a slow progression with character development over time. My game is currently working on its 9th build and still doesn't have any full sexual content (while there is full nudity) plus I'm only using two MC's for now.

While my game is not as popular (probably mostly because of mine having gay content--a smaller market--and my lack of rendering experience), it is interesting to see that my followers have been mostly supportive of the slow progression from the beginning. I never received the litany of complaints that this game receives and people have mostly enjoyed the slow development. Hell, I even use cliffhangers at the end of updates. People have mostly enjoyed that as well. In contrast, despite the developer for this game suggesting a slow progression, people still bitch and act surprised about it.

In my game, my biggest concern was that once I revealed nudity, the tease had to work. If I was going to build shit up, I had to make it worth it and really make it count when I finally dropped it. That being said, I was a little underwhelmed by the first sex scene in this game. Given the rendering details in the rest of the game, I expected some serious detail during those scenes. Instead, the sex scenes looked similar to other games' quality and it ironically lacked Lust or Passion like the developer's name implies.

I guess I also expected some form of body hair on the models, mostly because this is peeve of mine in these types of games. I feel like most developers just lazily render the base bald models--especially on the male models. From the beginning of this game, this was something that I really expected from this developer just based on the attention-to-detail. Yet, we still have the same bald dick models that we see in other games for both the spouse and Dylan (I'm assuming despite not seeing him completely head-on yet). Even if both characters shave, there should be some stubble or something! I didn't see any of that and it seemed to be something extremely overlooked for a developer focused highly on the tease and detail.

On your front page of '' A Wife and Mother '' you have this 'nice' picture as description, what interests me, who is actually the girl on the left, who forms her fingers into a heart?

Knowing that most succesful Visual Novels have erotic elements as a simple addition to the novel genre, reversed words would be more appropriate. Don't look for a porn where you shouldn't find it. Adult VN doesn't mean porn and W&M has nothing to do with it.
The literal definition of porn is "television programs, magazine, books, etc. that are regarded as emphasizing the sensuous or sensational aspects of a nonsexual subject and stimulating a compulsive interest in their audience." Considering how sexually charged this is it is most certainly pornographic. At this point it's more softcore porn, but it's definitely porn far more than any serious VN I've ever played where the sex stuff is very secondary, here even though there's not much actual sex yet the sexual tensions in nearly every fucking scene.

That's fair but it's mostly about semantic. You're right that there is a huge tension (like in every game with daz models) and it might be called porn in a given definition but it's not even a softcore at this point and to be honest softcore porn is far from standard porn with its aproach. This game might be considered as a porn but that's just your subjective opinion - I'm not saying it's wrong. With such aproach you can call almost every Japanese game a porn as there is often such tension as well. I felt it in Majikoi and that's different league than our Pareon games and my favourite NTR game (Triangle Blue) has over 20h of text before you reach anything and this game is based around sex. Porn or not, A Wife & Mother is just a different type of a game than typical VNs we have here and gratification is much slower. It seems to be focused on a setting as such rather than on sex (like in most western games) or story (like in many Japanese games). It's doing well with its aproach

This title is such a nice change of pace (like Blooming Love, but in a total different setting).

I think the problem is that most "porn" (very loosely used) VN's/Games are only focused on the sex and how to get it or progress towards it, so the characters involved become caricatures.

One more good point... this sure always makes THE difference between and ordinary porn game and a real true novel deserving to be followed carefully in future.

With best regards to all.

Don't get me wrong I think there is a place for all, I really enjoy Chubby Hollidays (Big girls, one fuck after another), but also Wicked Choices (smallbreasted petit women and complex worldbuilding with great writing quality).

Variety is where it's at :)
