I think it really depends a lot on what your target market is. If it's for people with an incest kink, then yeah, the minimum amount of effort to stay within the rules makes sense.

But as gingersweetgirl has been saying, with a bit more effort, a half-decent product could still be made. It makes no difference to me (as someone who plays the Ellie route) if Ellie is Sophia's daughter or not. Converting AWAM to DoL isn't the bottleneck and never will be. The only bottleneck is CS. The only way to significantly speed up updates is if L&P sticks to a plan. If he had stuck to the original 450 odd renders, we would have had the update months ago.

It isn't difficult in the slightest (I did it for Free Pass) to write the code so that the only difference between AWAM and DoL would be a block of around 10 lines of code. L&P just happened to choose the most inefficient way of making the two versions.

Where L&P's AWAM is hideously slow in terms of updates, Decent Monkey's Fashion Business is a grindfest. I played Chapter 1 but never made it through Ch.2. Even if Sophia & Monica inhabit the same universe, the styles & approaches to gameplay are not compatible. I think Mr morello plot is more darker than aiden and mr bennet blackmail, i think mr bennet blackmail route only occurs one time he already said that if he can get laid with sophia he would revised dylan score to A+ or perhaps he secretly make a secret sex tape to make another blackmail who knows

Imagine you deal with a Mafia that owns San Allejo, every deal with the mafia always have consequences remember when larry asking sophia if she like wild sex and sex in public maybe he already have a plan to make sophia his slut, making sophia addicted to drugs, threaten her whole family

Assuming that meeting the Morellos is required for the comfortable solution to the Aiden and Bennett blackmails, how would you have written the plot?

Certainly in another way than to have the highschool teacher and former college lecturer from an academic family doing something utterly stupid like purposefully neglecting a potentially harmful situation.
Something like Liam getting robbed in the streets and is forced to write a lien on their house.
Or him getting scammed at work by his boss. Not totally unbelievable ...
You know something that is entirely not her fault but she'd have to help fix it.
THIS situation actually IS her fault as said.

That is the easy explanation but hardly a correct one.
Substitute "gambling" with "taking heroin" or "taking meth".
Can they do anything about it themselves?
Only when the moon lines up with Jupiter, Saturn and Mercury while standing in the blood of a virgin and reading a prophecy in arameic. Backwards. I.e. it is extremely hard.
A gambling addiction is just as hard to overcome. Especially without help.
So yes. Sophia should have done something about it.
Denying the evening in the casino would have been the obvious choice but she didn't. She went with him.
Failing that she could have contacted the casino owner/security and made sure Liam is denied a debt.

Ergo it is her fault. The intelligent woman did nothing intelligent and in fact something extremely stupid. Leaving an addict alone in the addictive environment.

A night out together was Liam's idea, and Liam also came up with the idea of going to the casino.
I think L&P could have introduced this theme, casino debt, without Sophia going into the casino, but the idea of collective guilt, Liam and Sophia, was more important.

But the most important line is the one where Sophia goes to the club with Patricia and Ellie. It's a way of highlighting Sophia's corruption.
Is that a realistic approach? Taking a gambling addict to the casino?
It is, as long as Sophia stays with Liam or the one where Sophia goes to the club. The club route is the clearest evidence that Sophia's corruption has increased.
It's a less realistic route, the one where Sophia waits at home for Liam.
