This entitled attitude is sickening as hell.
Ok, so a bunch of my friend and I get together to play a game of tag in the backyard. One of them cheats, and we are supposed to keep quiet about it because it is "a free game"? Free or Paid, POOR QUALITY, should be pointed out at every chance in order to PREVENT someone else from paying money or FUTURE 'poor quality" being released.
Uh, just to clarify? Am I supposed to PAY the full $60 dollars to play a friend's copy of a game at that friend's house using that friend's X-box? Or am I allowed to play it "freely" while visiting, knowing that the developer isn't going to be "reimbursed" for his time no matter what? Or should I NOT play a game "freely" at a friend's house while visiting UNLESS I happen to own my personally purchased copy at home?
And as far as "dealing with idiots like myself"? Well, seeing how I REFUSE to spend money on THIS type of update schedule and LACK of progressing content, I don't see how the developer has to "deal with me" when I am not a member of their Patreon, and can therefor be completely ignored or never seen by said developer?
PS: As far as "idiots like myself"? Uh, generally speaking, when someone is capable of writing a well reasoned point of contention and uses proper English spelling and grammar, they are NOT considered "an idiot" by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, you tend to get the MOST productivity out of someone providing you detailed context and well-thought-out reasons for adding/subtracting content from a project. As well as provide an outlet for other people to take those reasons into consideration and adjust their own views (positively or negatively) into their own responses to whatever their issues may be about a project.
And to clarify. I called your reply "entitled attitude" because there is a feeling that just because something is "free", it doesn't matter if it is GOOD or not, it is 'free". Well, "free" shit is still shit. And I refuse to eat a shit sandwich without at LEAST complaining about the smell, just because it is 'free'.
