In terms of "Bob's Country Bunker" being the best of a bad choice, I don't believe so. I've tried my usual tricks to find the asset, but have been unable to so far, and there are numerous obvious assets that L&P could have used, one just by the beach, as we were lead to believe the event would be.Wow! That feels somewhat unexpected.
We have been discussing for a while now the meaning of Sam's line chatting with Sophia that the concert was at "one of those bars at the beach", along with L&P's subsequent description of the venue as a rock bar. Various people had focussed on the beach element, and others on the rock element. But there was seemingly a broad consensus that we were expecting a bar that a young rock band could play at that was on/at/by/near the beach. Not what we have been shown so far in the above preview. It is possible that the actual venue is a different place next to or opposite "Bob's Country Bunker" shown in the preview.
I will also defer to more knowledgeable Daz afficionadoes as to whether there is much variety of suitable bar fronts that are readily available. This might have been the best choice from a bad set of Daz asset options. But I was nt expecting this.
And, knowing if this was the venue, it makes the choice of including the romper suit with the "boob pockets" as an option in the Patreon Poll even more surprising.....
Trying to find some shred of realism to cling to until we see for sure what the venue is like once the update released, there are five motorbikes outside. I am no motorbike expert but at first glance these look like decent bikes such as Harley Davidson's. Now whilst I might immediately think Hells Angels, then it is still possible that these might be expensive bikes ridden by middle class office workers. i.e. I am trying not to think of this automatically as a "biker bar" that we have seen depicted in various Hollywood films and TV series as being rough and ready to say the least.
I am hoping that this preview picture is slightly misleading and that when we see the update, we will look back at this preview and laugh at L&P for playing with our expectations. If so then great - I don't mind an occasional misdirect from a preview.
But at the moment I am having a hard time not simply looking at that preview and saying "What the frak" to myself....
Next update will be a Nat event, Bonus Storyline, the Concert, and then Cathy/Andy.What's going to be the next event if you're not doing the band route?
Cathy/Andy meeting with Liam/Sophia or maybe just Liam only, if Sophia is tied up with "The other guy" event. That will be the last event for the P.D.What's going to be the next event if you're not doing the band route?
I am trying really, really hard not to overact to that preview. I deliberately waited a few hours after seeing the preview just before lunch, and tried hard to not just rant as my initial reaction. I am trying to look at it as that the actual concert event may not be what mine (and seemingly other's) initial reaction to it was. I certainly could have used far stronger language than "surprised".In terms of "Bob's Country Bunker" being the best of a bad choice, I don't believe so. Perhaps something will occur when Patricia is distractingly flirting with one of the members of the band (just some jabroni in the bar)?Aiden won't be there, notice they're all custom, shall we say Harley-Davidson style.
Second, the lights are on, after concert will be dark. So, no beach.

We have the whole band, 4 members and L&P could avoid direct contact between sisters and band members. Maybe Patricia will stay a little longer, to celebrate, in this bar or another, ALL together. Would be great, 4 boys and 2 sisters

Dr.Fapalot could you ask L&P if Patricia will stay a little longer?
I wasn't going to say any more because that outfit just gets on my nerves more & more but the following may be of interest. One of my neighbours went out with a biker who was a millionaire's son but who was also a full member of one of the UK's most powerful bike gangs. (I'm talking 1970s here). He had a 1947 Harley, which he took everywhere the gang went, in a Hertz rental truck. He could easily afford to ride something else. Biker levels of wealth are like the gangs....unpredictable.Wow! That feels somewhat unexpected.

You're talking about Germany & you paint a completely true picture. Even though it's 40-odd years since I drank at any bar, inn or club in that nation, I remember how civilised everything was. As a complete stranger & foreigner, I was still trusted to run up a bar tab in some places & this was in the big city!I personally like the idea of a rock/biker bar.
We also have to consider the fact that L&P has a German mind set while trying to portray an "American" City. Here in Germany a kid can go to a bar at 16 and with parents 14, all while being able to drink beer (no hard stuff)
I frequent a biker bar (Club house for a Franconian Biker club) North of Nuremberg. It is surprising how many single younger hotties and milfy types show up at this bar. Why? Because they have fun and they're "protected" from the bullshit they would possibly run into at some other bar. Being a old war horse as myself I enjoy the conversation and looking at the "menu", so to speak. Most the biker bars I hangout at are mostly Combat Veterans, we have common experiences that no one fully understands unless you lived such experiences. So, if Sophia and her sis walked into a bar of bikers that i hangout at no harm would come to them and they or you might be surprised at the intellect in such crowds.
I like to think that it's Ivan's truck & that they're just coincidently passing by....L&P doesn’t do generic models. He changes book covers for fuck’s sake. Not a mistake and not an oversight, and neither is that moving company’s truck.
Agreed! The best parts of AWAM have been how she is slowly and realistically drawn toward her sexual freedom. Not sure so much now.I am trying really, really hard not to overact to that preview. I don't know how many further updates to this game we are realistically going to get, given recent time to issue updates and the ever increasing complexity of routes and options within the VN. When we get to whatever stage we get the actual end to this story, whenever that my be, I just hope that we look back and think the end of this story was just as high a quality, both artistically and also storyline wise, as we would currently say about the beginning. I just hope that this VN finishes on a high and that our expectations have been broadly me, or even exceeded.
The caveat is that obviously I still hope that we have many more updates to come, and that these future updates come more regularly and frequently than the most recent series of updates.
But for the first time I can feel that slight twinge of nervousness as to how this storyline might unfold in the near future. That we go from straining or stretching the boundaries or realism / plausibility and start breaking them more and more.
That we lose what made this VN special by having to cater to (Patreon members) expectations of what content they wish to see,
Welcome to my world!!!That we go from straining or stretching the boundaries or realism / plausibility and start breaking them more and more.

I think we're missing each other's points here. Biker gangs are often made up of initiated members who have opted for a life outside the norms of society. There are all kinds of bike gangs & the members come from all walks of life but there is no way for us to know what kind of biker is in the bar, if indeed this is the venue, which because the van is parked outside, I assume it is.I hope that you are joking because ladies dress up beautifully and sexually not to be fucked in the nearest alley, but because ladies love attention and they delight others like flowers.
I think any normal man knows this, and I'm sure there are most of them here.
The real question: Is this the Bar? We do not know it for sure. It is a bar! There are many bars and venues in most beach areas. Most share the parking lots. So, this may not be the bar just L&P messing with us for a laugh.I think we're missing each other's points here. Bands like Sam's don't have roadies to cart their gear & set it up, so parking close makes sense. Some gangs contain members who would voluntarily help with the band's gear, while others have people who would sneer at these "amateurs." Some gangs have members who would escort the women politely into the bar & 'look after them.' (That would include fending off Sam, once the gang had staked its' claim. Good luck to anyone who might try to speak to them, let alone chat them up). Some gang members I know of do charity work, while another I worked with killed a rival gang member with a sawn-off shotgun & served years for it.
What I'm saying & have said elsewhere, is that bike gangs are not predictable. There are no more "typical" bikers, than there are typical priests. One thing that tends to be true is that they see themselves as outsiders & not constrained by societal norms. Some are gentlemen, some are absolutely scary.
What I do know is this. You do not walk into a bar wearing a romper suit. Full stop, period.
If you pay attention, you will notice that my first post after the appearance of this render speaks of my excitement, probably for the very reasons that you have described.I think we're missing each other's points here. What did I just watch? I don't know about her stripping abilities but I DEFINITELY want her magic skills! When I talk about conditional realism in AWAM, I mean that Sofia will not show such a focus:You must be registered to see the links
Of course, we will not see such a trick from Sofia, but she will undress more than once, and not only undress, but also have sex with some girls, women, guys and men, she will probably participate in group sex - that's what I call realism in AWAM!
If this was intended to be a bar for real bikers, I hope L&P thinks again & makes it more as you've outlined. I have my doubts as to whether even the erudite L&P would have thought about the backing in of the parked bikes. Who knows but I know I never thought of it. It would make sense for the place to be full of weekend pleasure bikers, given that Sam's not stupid & must have checked the place out before inviting Sophia. The real question: Is this the Bar? We do not know it for sure. It is a bar! There are many bars and venues in most beach areas. Most share the parking lots. So, this may not be the bar just L&P messing with us for a laugh.
Now, that being said, Is this a real biker bar? If it is, as has been pointed out, they don't back their bikes in. This is not hinting at a hard core biker establishment. Not the Hell's Angels, Diablos, Bandidos, or Nomads, etc, etc... . So could it be a biker bar for all the rich people who like to get the 40k Harley, a couple of stylish Tats, and then go to a bar with their friends and act like bikers while sipping chardonnay or Glenfiddich. These places do exist and Sam and his band could get in there by contacts or just reasonable skill. Now in this case the event would be as many previously theorized. It is not a fight club on steroids it is just a place for the wanna bees to rub elbows with other wanna bees.
If it is a real biker bar. Sam will know exactly where his guitar is. Walking may be an issue but he will have his guitar. The rest of his band, meh! Patricia will be busy backing her and Sophia out before they become the dessert for the patrons. This would be bad juju. So not likely L&P will take this path.
Ergo, I see two options: One; He is having a good laugh messing with us as this is just another bar in the area. Two; This is not a real biker bar but a bar where middle and upper class people come to share their love of motorcycles and play act a bit.
If I am wrong, and he is trying a real biker bar, he is definitely a few fries short of a happy meal. Just Sayin'!
