However, as for my opinion...

He can change the setting between characters to something like "Landlord and Tenant", a method many producers use.

But, like Julia and Ava's children, it will be inevitable to modify characters whose faces look too young. to upload to the Steam.

But if LP change all the characters to the DOL version, I think I'll be disappointed.

This game Will get fucked before sophia gets fucked. But only solution for this is he use DOL characters for steam and keep the Patreon as it is

The solution is for L&P to admit that Steam is a bridge too far and stick with improving the development speed of AWAM while farming DOL out to several junior creators he hires to help increase speed and quality of first DOL, then AWAM. He can even have one of them take over animations, just so he will finally stick to trying to get AWAM through PD 30 before we reach the year 2050 RL.

Greed for Steam money is NOT going to increase speed of development for AWAM.

He can't use neither. Not DoL, not AWAM. Both versions have plenty red flags for Steam. He's using a bunch of logos and other things from namely brands and companies throughout the game without having the rights to do so. Let alone the incest and underage content. Steam won't allow a game on their platform that's using illegal assets. L&P didn't pay Armani or CocaCola to use their names and logos, for example. He'd have to remaster a shitton of scenes to remove all of the illegal stuff. Even if he did that with DoL, the version itself is a complete mess and nobody in their right mind would want to buy that on Steam.

And considering how long it takes L&P to release a single update with a couple hundred renders, we're prolly talking years to remake either version of the game to make it Steam friendly. So unless he's been working on a Steam version for years already, there is no way he's going to release anything on that platform anytime soon. And in the very unlikely case that he is going to release on Steam, I'd imagine it would be something like one PD at a time. Kinda like other VN's release their games in chapters on Steam. But if he's going to do that, he'd still have to rework everything and that can only mean a massive slow-down of the current development. Even less content per year as he'd have to work on both ends, and we're already looking at most likely more than 2 years for this single PD alone.

You're 100% right. At the moment a Steam release is looking impossible for LP. If he tries to rework the game it'll take him way too long for both DOL & awam. He should focus on his Patreon and complete the game as he said he doesn't wanna spend 10 years working on this game. maybe after completing the game he can make a suitable version for steam if he really wants to do it that badly. He will have a lot to answer after the Dylan/Christen/ellie event update. His Patreon subs won't be happy with any major changes in the game ( they're already upset with the speed). I simply don't expect LP to anger his Patreon subs anymore.
He should still hire a story writer to help him even if his steam plan fails. Honestly i think this L&P guy is retarded

I don't know for sure, but many people speculate that some characters in the game will need to be modified in order to upload the game to Steam, and I guess that too.

And if you look at the public schedule, LP will only update the contents of Christine's party and start working on Steam.

We will have to prepare for a period of rest.

Lastly, only LP will know whether the Steam version and the Patron version will be the same or separate.

Unfortunately, thoughts don't control money transfers. Most of the prominent commentators here are his former patrons who forged their second thoughts into the only logical action. At least I did, for I won't stand constant lying to my face or the "my way or highway" attitude.
A hard halt to money influx would definitely give him second thoughts. My point is, though, that his Patreon base will probably never go below the minimum threshold that is acceptable for him.
In other words: he is re****ed, but his patrons are even more for enabling him. And it's perfectly fine - if they're happy with his antics, they can keep throwing their money at him as long as they please.
