When the mob is loose, it's usually just after an update. Much of that is blatantly nasty. During the bulk of the time there's just the speculation, inane juvenile stuff about 'Sophia grabs Dylan's knob' etc. & the inevitable criticism, some bitter, some light-hearted, most in-between, which L&P has mainly, or at least in large part, caused himself through empty promises, ever-moving goalposts & endless excuses for delays, including consistently, during the update process, interjecting new elements, e.g. animations, into the work cycle. It's become predictable & even has a terminology on this thread.
This is often put down to poor planning, or work organisation but by this time, after 5+ years (& we're talking about an intelligent man here), I don't think it is. All or most of it is the result of deliberate choices. It may well be that things won't change, (I think it's not impossible but highly improbable) & that's because the Dev has his comfort zone & there's no reason to leave it, except for one of his own choosing. Who amongst us would choose to leave such a place, the result of our own efforts, to work harder, simply because of a bunch of critical people, when the money still comes in & the interest in a creation shows no sign of abating?
This furore over a teaser is typical. Back in time the easiest, quickest way to get a record, (that's the old vinyl 45rpms...for the young folk), to the top of the charts, was to have mainstream broadcasters officially ban it. Within a week it would be flying off the shelves & every teenager, (yes I used to be one), knew the words to every verse. Putting a bar on something is a well-known way to increase interest. Why waste time on being paranoid about a teaser? Ostensibly because high tier Patrons might take exception if they thought the Dev didn't care if or when it was leaked. So, why not send them the teaser individually, (they don't number in their 100s), instead of posting it & feigning outrage that Dylan fans, (for whom he made the lad a 2nd MC), might actually be interested in seeing it? [Disclaimer... I am not interested in it, or anything involving sexual situations for Sophia & Dylan].
There are some indicators that L&P does not have a great deal of experience in the real world of work. Customer care & responding to feedback, (good & bad), are just two of them.

I just bought a Metallica's t-shirt in the same amount of money like this teaser. But they let me to show it everywhere (it's called advertising), they let me to give it to someone as a gift too. It is my choice, because I paid for it!
This guy is unbeliavable! Let me check something - if I paid him 35 dollars per month (excl. VAT), that will be 420 dollars per year! For what? A half game day, 6-8 teasers (understand pictures) and tons of intentions (bullshits) to reduce a release time or something similar... And when I have a teaser (picture), I can't send it to my fellow or friend, because he can show it to someone else, who can show it somewhere and I will have a ban from a person, to whom I have paid... 6 years of development time, 35 dollars per month....2520 at this point! Yes, it is support and his supporters aren't his bosses, ok. But he treats us like we are work for him! Pay 35 dollars, see the teaser, but don't you show it anywhere, because other people must pay too. There will be punishment otherwise! WTF? Is he from North Korea?
Someone must tell him that there are people who like his work, but don't have this money to support him. Maybe they are а smaller donors or they are none, but admire his work and want to be a part of it. There are also people who are just cheapskates and want everything fo free. And there are people like me, who are amazed with his behavior and don't want to support him because of it!

Indeed, and despite some people's views on the matter, being a Patreon supporter does not entitle you to anything or even bind the artist/dev to continue working, at least not in any substantive way. It's why I've said before and will continue to say that if people are really fed up and dissatisfied with the status of AWAM and the direction it's going, or how long it's taking, they should find other outlets for their time and energies. It's not that people aren't allowed to be upset or disappointed, but complaining here is just pissing into the wind. It must be very unpleasant to be bound up in anger and frustration over something as frivolous as a porn game, especially when there are so many other good ones out there.
Expressing all this anger and vitriol may also be counterproductive. Imagine if you were L&P and hearing constant harping about your work ethic, too much Dylan, not enough this, why that, etc. Would you feel motivated to do more or better? I wouldn't.
Like everyone here, I would love to see AWAM move along at a faster pace, but I'm not going to spend my valuable time and energy being angry about it, and I'm certainly not going to whine about it.
Thats not how Patreon works. Thats not how Easy Access works You pay for benefits. Just liek only people who bought the 90 Euro Edition of Diablo 4 could play a week early. NO ONE who goes for thse tiers jus want the game. I pay for higher iers because I want ealy access. And I pay for this tier because I like teasers. So if he does not want it to be spread whihc is in his rights I will not sucide myself so I have to get to a even higher tier to get my teasers
This is where one big problem occurs, because there aren't that many good ones. Most are average at best. That's just a personal opinion but one based on having played quite a few. L&P knows this & has the continuous subscriptions to prove it. He's crafted a good living from quality renders & arrived at a point where he needn't do a lot more to maintain it. There are so many possible choices but doing nothing is always an option in any business. 'His game, his choices.'
Criticism, justified, or not, categorised as "whining," or as something else (& I don't whine, I comment), all plays into the continued interest, that in turn, feeds the inertia. Why then would I still comment? Two main reasons, comprise curiousity, (mainly about how this will continue, or not) & straightforward sticking around for the renders. I've long since stopped trying to follow what used to be a combination of intriguing stories, partly because for those not into incest there's very little story happening, now, or in the near future. Immersion is now impossible. I also don't expect anything to change, because only an exodus of Patrons could (possibly) make that happen. If it changed for the better, because of something the Dev chose to do, I'd be pleasantly astonished. There's also the threads of course. Places where I choose to spend valuable time, simply because, like L&P, "I can."

This is how it works with most digital products. Consider any AAA game. Or any movie you used to buy on DVD. It is not legal to share them with other people. It's how the world works, it amazes me you are just discovering this now.
For me, at least, it's the difference between a celebrity having a sex tape or getting naked or watching a deep fake. It's not the same at all. Or how there is fan fiction related to books or movies, but it's not part of the cannon and we don't really care what those characters do there.
And I think, even more than that, if L&P, in a single update would make Sofia the biggest whore and she would fuck everybody I would not really enjoy that game as it is out of character and in my crazy mind it wouldn't really be her. For me, the whole point of a corruption game is that it happens gradually, with the fan games, it's a big gap between Sofia from AWAM and what they did.
So we want free teasers, and we want free game, and we criticise the developer if he is slow and we want excellent quality at the same time .
Bad bad fans, I am afraid we will ruine the project.
The developer deserves at least some appropriation( from fans here), and deserves support and to respect his requests from his patreon fans.

If developer wants to milk the patrons. He's going to end up being bankrupt. Patrons are paying way more than he deserves, and now he's setting additional demands

There is 2 more events in PD13,after 2 events Sophia/Dylan.
Not to mention there are events(a lot of them) before next Sophia/Dylan in PD14.

This is one of the things supporters misunderstand or play with words.
This site is that connects games with sponsors.
It is a place where games are released for free and at the same time a place where developers promote their games.
And the developer of this game has a lot of sponsoring despite being criticized by a lot of people.
